The couple dated for five years before Dansby Swanson and Mallory Pugh’s wedding in December 2022. The two tied the knot in a magical forest-themed ceremony witnessed by close friends and family.
Mallory Pugh and Dansby Swanson are known for excelling in their respective sports career. Mallory is known to be the youngest U.S. player to ever score during the Olympics at the age of 18. Meanwhile, Dansby is known to be the only major league baseball player to ever start in all 162 games of the season and also won the National League Gold Glove in 2022.

The couple’s wedding ceremony was in the middle of the forest, with trees and custom floral installation. Sara Fried, their wedding planner, stated how Mallory wanted the venue to look like an enchanted forest with a canopy and towering trees.
The bride walked down the aisle in a handmade Anne Barge gown, and the couple exchanged rings made by Jason of Beverly Hills. Dansby Swanson and Mallory Pugh exchanged wedding vows before their friends and family, standing in the middle of a beautiful floral arc.

After the ceremony, the guests headed to the reception, clueless of its unique theme. The newlyweds wanted all the people who attended their weddings to be ‘on the dance floor all night long,’ that is why they all changed into their custom Nike sneakers and partied away.
Interestingly, that is not the only surprise for that night. Instead of going with the traditional dinner, the couple opted for something more casual, providing a variety of food stations for the guests to enjoy.
There was fried chicken, pimento mac and cheese, collard greens, fried okra, creamed corn casserole, and fried catfish. There were also homemade peach cobbler, banana pudding ice cream, and champagne cake with strawberries, Tahitian vanilla mousse, and vanilla butter crème for desserts.
