If you watch NBC News, you probably wonder what may have happened to NBC correspondents Hallie Jackson and Frank Thorp’s daughter, Monroe.
Monroe Jackson Thorp, or “Ro” for short, was born on March 10, 2020. She weighed 5 lbs., 9 oz., and measured 19 inches long. No one expected this healthy baby to come out earlier than her actual due date.

In a statement, Jackson stated that while they were not expecting the child to arrive three and a half weeks ahead of her deadline, Monroe clearly saw no need to wait any longer. The eagerness of their daughter to see the world makes the couple excited to let her see it through her big curious eyes.
Jackson first announced her pregnancy in November 2019 during her guest appearance on Sunday Today with Willie Geist. She expressed her excitement and anxiety that she is already stepping into motherhood any time soon, and it seems that “soon” was “sooner than she expected.”

During the interview, Jackson was also asked about her pregnancy journey, which she described as “exhausting,” especially in her first trimester. However, she got through it since she had all the love and support she needed from her husband, family, friends, and supporters.
When the big day finally came, Jackson happily opened up the news on Twitter, saying that she felt overwhelmed with gratitude for all the love and support everyone had shown her surrounding her pregnancy announcement.
She continued by stating her biggest “Thank you” for everyone on their side through the journey, just like their friends on the NBC channel, for making the big day more memorable than it already is.

Jackson has also shared a cute-looking photo of her and Thorp holding their baby girl, wearing the cutest onesies. In the caption, Jackson stated that although this journey was quite exhausting, it was still “their best adventure yet.” Thorp also expressed his feelings online, stating that he is looking forward to the memories they will make as a family day by day.
