In the middle of Nicki Minaj’s performance of her song “Majesty” during Made in America festival in Philadelphia last September 2, 2018, she had a minor wardrobe malfunction. The fabric of her belted mini-dress slipped open and left her chest area ‘strong-parental-guidance-needed’ type of exposed.
But the rapper handled it like a truly professional performer. She immediately adjusted her top and continued with her dance sequence without missing a single beat. In fact, she even made a joke about the whole thing on stage.

In a video captured by a concertgoer, Nicki was heard saying, “You know what? Let’s go at it. They done saw my nipples at least 50 times tonight.”
Twitter also had a great time reacting to the accidental exposure.
One Twitter user, “@MasinElije,” tweeted saying that Nicki’s knockers said: “TO FREEDOM!” and they had no problem with it. In fact, they were all for it. “Free yourself like Fantasia said,” they added. The rapper responded by quote-tweeting, writing that she didn’t know they were not her normal (non-see-through pasties) with a distressed emoji.

Nicki also posted her own tweet after the curtain call and made it clear that she felt great and wasn’t bothered by it at all. Also, we just want to say: that was top-tier iconic queen ???? behavior.
Of course, this wasn’t actually the first time that she experienced a wardrobe malfunction. Earlier that year, during the BET Awards, her painfully tight red leather-esque stage outfit left very little to the imagination.
When she noticed her camel toe, she quickly covered it up and went on with the performance. After all, as they say, the show must go on.
Also, back in 2014, during her MTV Video Music Awards performance of “Bang Bang” with Jessie J and Ariana Grande, her dress’ front zipper gave way. She had to clutch her dress the whole time so it wouldn’t fly open.

In a later interview with Ellen DeGeneres, Nicki shared that she thought she died right at that moment. That is, she had nothing underneath the dress. Nevertheless, she still slayed that performance.
Despite her little wardrobe malfunction, Nicki Minaj’s performance at the event made history as she was the first female rapper to headline the event hosted by JAY-Z.
