Singer-songwriter and Yellowstone actor Ryan Bingham filed for divorce from his wife of 12 years, filmmaker and director Anna Axster. Bingham and Axster wed in 2009, and their love story was something straight out of a chapter in a fairytale. The report also came in as unexpected news as Bingham opened up about Anna and their three kids and feeling “whole” in life in an interview just six months before.
In court documents acquired by The Blast, the divorce was officially filed on June 29, 2021.
And just weeks after filing, Bingham put their $2.45 million home – a three-bedroom main house with a cottage – in Topanga, California, on the market. According to Zillow, the couple purchased the property back in 2013 for $1.36 million.
After that, there has been no buzz regarding their divorce or settlement of any kind. Until recently, Bingham filed a petition to change his legal name from Ryan Axster Bingham back to his birth name George Ryan Bingham in a Los Angeles court. According to documents, Bingham simply cited his reason: “I would like to go back to using my birth name.”
Under the law, there is no need for an extensive explanation for the request. Additionally, this type of petition is very common for public figures following a divorce, mainly for signing contracts and other business-related documents.
Ryan Bingham is set for a hearing on December 2022 to decide whether he can resume using his birth name for legal purposes.
While fans await news on Ryan Bingham’s divorce, they can watch him on Yellowstone‘s recently released season 5. Bingham plays the character Walker who is an ex-con turned ranch hand. Or maybe binge-listen to his songs. He’s got a whole list that will definitely reel you in.
