Fans of My 600-Lb Life first met Schenee Murry on Season 6, Episode 13, aired on April 4, 2018. She was morbidly obese, just like all the other patients on the show, but she wasn’t a usual case. Murray entered the show weighing a whopping 712 pounds on the scale, making her one of the heaviest patients ever admitted to resident surgeon Dr. Now’s care.

Murry had been battling her weight at an early age, and it had gotten worse due to her traumatic experiences, which included sexual abuse, two miscarriages, and bacterial infection in her legs. Desperate to start her own family and stop relying on her husband, Freddie, to care for her, she finally decided to do active work.
She joined Dr. Now’s weight-loss program, and it proved to be a difficult road. First, after routine health checks, they discovered that her BMI was five times the average healthy range. Then, she had to meet weight-loss targets, but she failed to do so, leading to her hospitalization. During that time, she dropped 91 pounds.
Unfortunately, that didn’t make any dent in her journey because, in the final weigh-in, she gained 43 pounds. After that, she cut off all contact with Dr. Now and his team.

After exiting the show, Murray started a GoFundMe page to help finance her future weight loss surgeries. Then in October 2019, she posted a YouTube video (@JourneyOnTheGoLLC) claiming that she had definitely lost weight.
She said, “Does this look like I’m 800 pounds? No honey.” Then proceeded to do a celebratory twerk. She then continued that she had been shedding a lot and acknowledged that there was much more to lose. But the important fact was that she was putting in the work.
Of course, Murry was met by many skeptics saying there was no way she had lost as much weight as she claimed she did. There were also alleged reports that the former reality star had been in and out of the hospital during that time due to several health issues.
Then by the end of 2022, she wrote on her YouTube bio that she had gone from 810 pounds down to 453 in three years, and no surgery was involved. But that wasn’t the only thing she celebrated. That is, she was also expecting her baby with her bae.
“When one chapter ends of being called lies plus lying, being in an abusive relationship, can’t have children, to now having a baby on the way and happy,” she wrote. “Only thing I can say is won’t God do it; yes, God will Amen.”
Where is she now?
Last March 15, 2023, Schenee Murry let her fans in on her weight loss with her most recent weigh-in. According to the scale, she is down to 212.5 pounds which was already so far from the starting point of her My 600-Lb Life journey. A few months later, she finally welcomed her baby boy, Zachariah.
