If you have been tuning in to the television channel TLC, you must have probably heard of the hit show 1000-Lb Sisters. The show follows the lives of two sisters named Amy and Tammy. They have been through a lot trying to reach their weight loss goals. One of the sisters in 1000 lb sisters, Tammy Slaton, has not just been able to make progress in her weight loss journey but is also now a married woman to his new husband, Caleb.
Of the two sisters, Tammy was considered to be the one who felt it hard the most. While her sister Amy was constantly observing some changes, Tammy, on the other hand, seemed to have yet to make any progress.

Due to her extreme food addiction, Tammy went to rehab. Although she got released during her first rehab, things didn’t improve much. In fact, it worsened as her weight skyrocketed to 717 lbs.
There was also a time when she could not control her food, alcohol, and smoking addiction. She was sent to the hospital, with her family thinking she might not survive anymore. That’s why, for the second time around, she then again went to rehab to change for the better.
During that time, she noticed gradual improvements in her health as she slowly lost weight from weighing 717 lb. to 534 lb. However, that wasn’t the only good thing that happened to her inside the facility. There, she met a fellow food addict, Caleb Willingham, whom she unexpectedly got closer to.

As they both share the same experience and hardships, their relationship slowly develops from being friends to lovers. The two then decided to tie the knot on November 20, 2022, at Windsor Lane Rehabilitation Center in Gibsonburg, Ohio, during an intimate ceremony within the rehab center.
The couple kept their relationship and wedding from the public for a while before announcing it to the world. Tammy announces one of the biggest events in her life by stating, “You all knew me as Tammy Slaton, but now you’ll all know me as Mrs. Tammy Willingham,” Tammy said at the time: “I’m married now!”
Sources say that their wedding was an intimate one. In an interview, Tammy stated that their family only surrounded them with around 30 friends of theirs during the ceremony. The nurses who had been caring for them for the last few months at the rehab were also present during their special day.
Amy, Tammy’s sister, was her bridesmaid to demonstrate her unwavering support for the marriage. Caleb has also received praise from Tammy for helping her turn her life around because he has supported her. In addition, Tammy Slaton revealed that, like any bride, she was extremely “nervous” on the day she married her new husband, Caleb.
She said she was incredibly anxious as she sat in the chair, finished her hair and makeup, and observed her family preparing for her wedding. She is delighted to see her loved ones gathering to celebrate her wonderful day. Then, as she sees how handsome her husband is, her heart literally skips a beat from joy.
In pictures posted of the wedding, Tammy can be seen posing with her sister Amy, who is sporting a purple hairstyle and an orange dress, while Tammy is wearing a white gown and tiara. In a different picture, Tammy can be seen smiling next to Caleb, who is dressed in a black suit with brown suspenders.
It has been months since they officially married, but Tammy reminisced about her wedding day, saying, “there was so much love in the room” that day.
Tammy even mentioned how much she enjoys seeing her husband’s face next to her when waking up; the same is true each night before bed. She feels she can’t really ask for more. This is such a sweet statement for Tammy to say. After all, she deserves all this happiness as she has already been through a lot.

Many of the show’s fans know that Caleb isn’t Tammy’s first boyfriend. As documented in the show, she previously had a relationship which was documented on the show. Tammy met her ex-boyfriend Philip on social media. However, her relationship with her then-boyfriend didn’t develop as much as it did with Caleb.
It was well known that Phillip preferred larger women and wouldn’t date anyone under 300 pounds; this may have contributed to Tammy’s initial attraction towards him as she believed their relationship would be harmonious and without major difficulties.
However, it seems like it wasn’t the case at all. They had more frequent arguments than anyone could imagine or have even anticipated. As a result, Tammy was already “tired of fighting,” so she decided to end their relationship.
Her sister, Amy, wasn’t against her decision. At that time, Amy thought Tammy should work on herself before anything else. After all, Tammy doesn’t need somebody that wants her to be a glutton. In fact, Amy was actually praying that Phillip and Tammy would end their relationship already.
That said, after her split with Phillip, Tammy revealed that she left her “door’s always open” to talk to potential partners. Since she doesn’t talk to as many people as she used to, she tries, at that time, to be more careful in choosing a new partner.
Tammy then took her time to take care of herself and focus on her goals first, and in just a few months, she was able to meet Caleb at the rehab center, and the rest is history.
They Are a Perfect Match for Each Other
Tammy and Caleb do truly adore one another. They were each other’s best motivators and influences. Tammy’s weight loss journey was made simpler than ever with Caleb’s support; as a result of her weight’s massive improvement, she even underwent the weight loss surgery she had always wanted.
