Last September 30, 2019, ex-Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton welcomed his fourth child, Cashmere Saint Newton, with his former girlfriend, Kia Proctor.
Proctor first announced that she was expecting back in May through Instagram. She posted a photo of herself wearing a bright blue dress with a stonewall backdrop and a caption that said, “Blessed ❤️ #anotherone #momof5.”

A quick note: If you’re confused as to why she is a ‘mom of five,’ that is because aside from her four children with Newton – sons Camidas Swain, Chosen Sebastian, and Cashmere Saint, and daughter Sovereign-Dior Cambella – she also has her daughter Shakira from a previous relationship. Newton had also openly accepted Shakira as his own.
Proctor shared the arrival of their newborn in October with a photo of her cradling the little one in her arms. At the time, the baby’s name wasn’t revealed yet (as well as his face), so she simply put a blue heart emoji for the caption.

The next photo of the Newtons’ newest addition came in December with him and his mama wearing a matching red plaid pajama set and posing in front of the Christmas tree. His face was revealed, and his name was finally introduced.
Then on Cashmere’s first birthday, Newton uploaded a black and white photo of him carrying a very smiley little boy.
Newton has always been a proud dad of his seven children, including Caesar Newton (whom he fathered while still with Proctor causing their split) with Instagram model La Reina Shaw and Jaden, who came from Shaw’s past relationship.
In a 2017 interview with Yahoo Sports, he shared that fatherhood has been great and even jokingly added that he wasn’t as bad as he thought he was.
In fact, when his son Chosen was born, he dedicated a poem to him, which was published in The Players’ Tribune. In it, the athlete wrote to his son to ‘be better’ than himself and that he should be whatever he wanted to be. He also told him always to protect his sister and his mother.

Then, for Father’s Day 2021, he took to Instagram to share his feelings as a dad. He said, “A Daddy isn’t defined as the man who makes the child (NOT in all instances) but rather, a MAN who extends his hands and time to help with the child’s raising.”
He also added that a father is someone who gives all their heart to love the child through anything, referencing the children he took up as his own despite not being blood-related.
Cashmere Saint Newton is the fourth child and the last between him and Kia Proctor. As of 2022, Cam Newton is reportedly dating Jasmin Brown.
