Fans like you and me have been wondering for the longest time if there’s even a sliver of truth to the rumor that there are a few Harry Styles songs about Kendall Jenner.
For one, the “Watermelon Sugar” singer has kept his personal life from the limelight. Sure, there have been many times that he headlined the news with his alleged romantic relationships with fellow celebrities.
However, he neither confirmed nor denied any of them. One of those was with supermodel and reality TV star Kendall Jenner.
Okay, let’s backtrack for a second.

So, the two were first spotted back in 2014 at Mammoth Mountain in California, skiing and snowboarding together. According to PEOPLE’s source, there was a lot of flirting and smiling. Harry even offered to take Kendall’s snowboard and carry it to the lift.
The two weren’t seen together again until their yachting vacation in the Eastern Caribbean in December 2015. They were first sighted “flirting, touching, and snuggling” in a restaurant in Anguilla. Then they welcomed the new year in Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi’s yacht in St. Barts.
Although, whatever they had during that time eventually stopped, and so did the rumors about them.
They bumped into each other in May 2019 during the Met Gala and attended an after-party together. Then later that year, they reunited on the Spill Your Guts segment of The Late Late Show with James Corden, where they asked each other awkward questions and could either answer or eat something gross. And the juiciest question of the night came from Jenner.

When she asked her question, the fans behind her cheered loudly. Styles paused briefly, leaving everyone anticipating that he might just answer.
Then he replied, “So, I’d say track uh um…” He trailed off and went on to pick on the cod sperm on his plate. Jenner suggested that he simply not look at it, which prompted a funny response from Styles asking what they were doing.
He ultimately decided to forfeit and nibble the cod sperm. Then he quipped, “To spit or to swallow, that is the question.”
So, which one was it?
According to fan theories, four songs from the former One Direction member’s discography fit the bill. Three were from his eponymous debut studio album, while the other was from his 2022 studio album Harry’s House.
Track #1 Meet Me In the Hallway
In his profile for Rolling Stone, Styles mentioned that a “she” was a huge part of his debut album. He added that sometimes, you want to tip then there are times that you want to give them the whole cap and hope that they know that it was for them. Styles didn’t drop the name of his muse, but the timing of everything just pointed to Jenner.
“Meet Me In the Hallway” is the first track on the album. It’s a heartbreaking ballad about missing someone you love and the difficulty of quitting the relationship – despite recognizing that the other’s behavior had led it to end. In an investigation by Refinery 29, their best bet was also the supermodel, given “the drawn-out, on-and-off nature of their relationship.”
However, not everyone agrees.
A while back I saw someone imply that Meet Me in the Hallway is about Kendall Jenner and I still haven’t stopped dry-heaving.

Track #5 Sweet Creature
Another song from his debut album is “Sweet Creature.” In an interview with 102.5 FM’s The Zach Sang and the Gang Show, he revealed that it was actually the first track he had written for it. Not only that, but he also admitted that the song was dedicated to someone.
Some think it was his middle school sweetheart Abigail Crawshaw as the lyrics pointed to childhood paradise. Other than that, there was no other evidence, and the rest of the lyrics were vague.
They basically spoke about someone who mesmerized him, but they couldn’t seem to work things out for some reason. The story was in the same vein as “Meet Me In the Hallway,” which made fans think it was also about Jenner.
Though, again, not every fan thought that way. To some, the “someone” Styles was talking about was someone he belonged to, which definitely crossed out Jenner.

Track #7 Only Angel
This track screamed Kendall Jenner for two reasons. The first one was that Jenner was a Victoria’s Secret angel (She walked the runway in the 2016 VS Fashion Show). Second, it referenced the hallway, which was highlighted in the album’s first track and had the same feeling of sexual tension.
It seemed like most fans agreed that it was indeed her.

Track #7 Matilda
Like “Only Angel,” fans strongly felt that track number seven, titled “Matilda,” from his third studio album, was dedicated to Jenner, and the song was about how her “toxic” family exploited her.
As one fan said, they dated young. They had probably confided with each other, especially as they were just navigating through their newfound fame. She might have talked a lot about her mom Kris, their reality TV show Keeping Up With The Kardashians, and how they got her to participate in everything.
As far as we know, Styles confirmed with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe that “Matilda” was someone he knew in real life. He admitted that it was none of his business, but the stories he had told her (which he said wasn’t normal) impacted him.
There is a chance that these four Harry Styles songs may be about Kendall Jenner. After all, Kris Jenner, herself confirmed in 2021 during her appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show that the two dated for a while. Ultimately, will we ever know if we’re right? Probably not.
