You ask, we deliver. And now we finally answer what really happened to Owen Wilson’s nose.
Owen Wilson is one of the newest additions to Marvel’s Cinematic Universe playing Mobius M. Mobius (not to be confused with Morbius) in Disney+ series ‘Loki.’ And he is reprising his role for the highly-awaited second season. He is also reemerging on the big screen with his reunion film ‘The French Dispatch’ with college roommate Wes Anderson and Paramount+ movie ‘Secret Headquarters’ alongside Jesse Williams and Michael Pena. There are even talks of a sequel for the hit 2005 movie ‘Wedding Crashers’ in which the actor starred with Vince Vaughn.

Apart from his impressive resume, he is also popularly known – arguably even more – for his misaligned nose. And it has become a trademark of his and a mystery for the longest time. That is, he hasn’t been exactly, and people have been very inquisitive about it.
In a 2001 interview with The Los Angeles Times, the actor finally shared the stories behind his broken nose.
According to Owen, he broke his nose twice, and both times were before he started his career. The first time was in a high school scuffle at St. Mark’s High School in Dallas, Texas. Then the second time was playing football with friends. In his Wired interview, he gave some more context on this football incident. It happened at the University of Texas, and he was playing intramural flag football when he just got banged. He didn’t share exactly how, but he did say that it was just them roughhousing.
And over the years, he has heard different, contrasting comments about his nose, which kind of surprised him. Sometimes people would tell him that he looked odd and disfigured. While some complimented his crooked nose saying that it sets him apart. But Owen himself doesn’t really think much about his nose. In fact, he’s unbothered by it as he thought that his nose wouldn’t have been that great even if it hadn’t been broken.
