Krasinski and Blunt reportedly first met in 2008, and it was said that Krasinski was the one who fell in love with Blunt first. In an interview, the actor mentioned that when he first saw Blunt, he already knew she was the one he wanted to marry.
That said, as their relationship grew from acquaintances to friends, they eventually ended up dating one another. They decided to tie the knot and make things official in 2010.
Now, the two have been together for more than a decade. As of 2023, the couple has two kids together: Hazel and Violet.
After having a family, the star couple has decided to become a bit more private than they were before. They certainly try to keep their children away from the media for them to grow up having a normal childhood as much as possible.
It even came to the point that their kids started to get curious about how famous they really were. During one interview in 2021, Blunt stated that one of her daughters, Hazel, once asked her if they really were famous celebrities.
However, Blunt tried to keep the truth from the kids for as long as she could, wanting to have as little attention from the media as possible for their kids. This way, the kids will have a normal and wonderful childhood away from the limelight.
On the other hand, Blunt shared her experience of being a mother, which she describes as exhausting and hard to navigate. At the end of the day, though, as long as she sees her family happy, all her exhaustion suddenly disappears. Both John and Emily have spoken publicly about how much they love being parents and how their children have changed their lives for good.

Hazel was born on Feb. 16, 2014. She is the couple’s first child. Since Hazel was born, the couple’s life changed for the better.
The following year, in an interview, the couple said they’d like to give Hazel a sibling “one day.” Just a few years later, their second child was born. Since then, Hazel has been an “amazing big sister” whom the couple greatly admired.
Aside from that, it seems like Hazel had her mother’s British accent for a long time. Eventually, she adapted to the American one a few years later. In an interview, John also stated that Hazel is quite funny, as she always makes him smile with her random jokes.

Violet Krasinski was born in June 2016, and like her sister, her birth was also such big news to everyone. The whole family was very much excited that a new member of the family had been added.
Her birth was announced on the 4th of July, and John has shared a heartwarming message for his daughter on his Twitter account. A few years later, it was revealed in an interview that Violet might already have an ear for music.
During her guest appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, everyone was shocked when this talented young girl started to show off her singing skills. Moreover, just like her sister, Violet also has a British accent. However, compared to her sister, she seems to have stuck with it to this day.
Hazel and Violet have been spotted with their parents at various events, including movie premieres and awards shows. However, John and Emily still tried to keep their children out of the public eye for the most part to give them a sense of normalcy and privacy.
On top of that, John and Emily have occasionally shared sweet anecdotes about their children in interviews, such as Hazel’s love for Frozen and Violet’s love for dance. That shows that despite their celebrity status, John Krasinski and Emily Blunt seem to prioritize their family life and raising their kids in a grounded, down-to-earth way.
