It is known to many that Marshall easily becomes the show’s main character due to his confidence and attitude. However, although he may look like he is having the best time of his life when the show airs, it turns out it wasn’t the case at all.

After season 1 was released, Marshall shared in an interview that he didn’t really enjoy his time in it, describing it as one of the darkest moments of his life. After filming, he will always feel so down; eventually, it affects his mental health.

He elaborated on his experience, saying he had never wanted to be perceived as a victim. However, he can’t possibly keep silent, considering he was a victim of sexual abuse on the show. That’s why he tries to use his voice to spread awareness to everybody.

However, Marshall stated that he is still thankful for the time he has spent in the said docuseries, considering he learned many lessons that time. His journey in the said show didn’t improve in its second season.

In fact, it even got worse as his relationship with his former coach Monico started to deteriorate. It was something that eventually led him to quit the show. Although, it seems like his feud with his former coach has ended, as they made amends after a few months of Marshall leaving the show.

After hearing the news that Marshall might quit cheerleading once and for all, many of his fans are worried. However, their worries eventually swept away in an instant after Marshall announced that he would still get involved with cheerleading as he is now working as a coach for Idaho All-star Cheer.

He described his decision to become a cheerleading coach to be life-changing. He states that the best part of his job is telling the kids they will become champions someday, even if fate sometimes says otherwise. As a coach, Marshall has learned so many things that don’t just improve his career but also his well-being.

He learned that prioritizing “free range communication” with his kids is probably the most important note every coach needs to remember. After all, it is still a team, and open communication is a must if a coach wants to make the group grow.

Cheering is something that Marshall is great at. However, Marshall has found another hobby where he can spend much of his time. During an interview, the Cheer star mentioned his new passion.

He states that he wants to try out acting. It seems like the arts are running through his veins. Although he is technically a reality star, we all know that it’s far different from being an actual actor.

Marshall already has many fans and needs to practice adding his own dramatic flair. If he does that, he’ll surely land those acting jobs in no time at all. However, after a few months, he returned to cheerleading instead. It is, after all, still his first love.
