Born in 1974, Lil Kim grew up in the streets of New York after her family decided to kick her off from home. In the streets, she learned the harsh ways of living in the real world. However, along the way, she met various types of people who ultimately influenced her to love rapping at a young age.
When Did She Start Her Career?
In 1994, at the age of 20, after meeting Wallace, the American rapper Lil Kim kick-started her career in the industry when she joined one of the rising bands of that time, “Junior M.A.F.I.A.”
However, her time in the band didn’t last that long as she decided to finally go on and start her solo career in music. In 1996, Lil Kim shocked the world when she released her debut album, Hard Core, which landed at no. 3 on the Billboard’s Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums.
As of 2023, the said album has already sold over 5 million copies, making Lil Kim one of the most-known rappers of this century, to the point that she is even termed the “Queen of Rap.” Over the years, she has continually made a name in the industry and has also introduced many new styles in music.
However, that is not the only thing that has changed from her. Based on fans’ observations, it seems like Lil Kim’s appearance, from her hair, skin tone, and physique, has changed drastically to the point that she is already unrecognizable.
