Lila Pitt’s Powers of Mimicry in The Netflix Hit Show Umbrella Academy, Explained!

Netflix never disappoints in giving audiences the best shows to binge on. One of their hit shows, ‘The Umbrella Academy,’ has been loved by many since its release in 2019. Audiences were fascinated with Umbrella Academy’s characters, especially with Lila Pitt’s powers of mimicry which many found mind-blowing.

Lila Pitts is one of the 43 infants delivered to moms who had no prior indicators of pregnancy at the 12th minute of the first day of October 1989. She was adopted, like the other main characters in the series, but not by Sir Reginald Hargreeves; rather, she was adopted by the Handler, who turned her into a powerful agent.

She was born to Ronnie and Anita Gill, a couple who weren’t too terrified by their unexpected pregnancy, unlike the other ones. They reared her in London until the Handler found out about her existence.

When the Handler knew Lila’s location, it was already evident that other than Reginald, there were also others who were aware of the “special” kids. As an unexpected turn of events, the Handler assigned Five to kill Lila’s parents, whom Lila herself has supervised. The Handler fed Lila, whom she raised as her adopted daughter while having Five prepare the murder to appear as a botched robbery.

Lila Pitt’s powers to imitate other people’s abilities made her a fascinating character. However, no one is made perfect since Lila could only imitate one at a time and only when she was at a certain distance.

As seen in the Umbrella Academy season 3, she can imitate Viktor’s sonic blasts to destroy a door, Five’s time travel to jumpstart a damaged briefcase, Fei’s crow power to take a Commission briefcase from the Hargreeves house, and Diego’s knife-throwing to battle a guardian in Oblivion.

She frequently employs these abilities expertly, easily defeating their original owners in battle. That said, her imitation powers were also helpful when the Umbrellas and Sparrows worked together to contain the kugelblitz.

Of course, just like any other superhuman, Lila’s empath talent has built-in restrictions on how and when it may be used, even while it is unquestionably handy to have on hand in an emergency. Lila and the other members of the Hargreeve family were surprised to discover that they had lost their abilities after Allison reset the universe.

She may, however, use duplicated skills just as effectively, if not sometimes even more so, than the original possessor. She even has the opportunity to advance in her commission training by quickly acquiring stolen powers.

Lila Pitt’s arrival in season 2 of the series brought about many unexpected turns, from her being Diego’s love interest to becoming a covert agent of the commission that the Handler adopted. Lila Pitt can become quite well-liked by the program’s viewers thanks to all the plot’s unexpected turns.

Fans anticipate seeing more of Lila Pitt’s powers in the upcoming Umbrella Academy season. If you haven’t done so, you can binge-watch the program on Netflix.
