Nick Cannon Releases New Diss Track Featuring Eminem’s Racist Lyrics

Nick Cannon and Eminem can’t stop being on each other’s radar as a new diss track was released publicly. The two rappers have been exchanging slanders for years, and it just won’t stop. So, here are more things you need to know about the beef between these two rappers and the new diss track.

The Start of the Feud

The feud between Nick Cannon and Eminem over their relationship with Mariah Carey seems as old as time, but the decade-long beef has resurfaced. With the duo swapping diss recordings and nasty comments on social media, it looks like 2009 again.

The beginning of this entire saga may have started because of Eminem’s alleged brief relationship with Mariah Carey back in the day. The rapper released “Bagpipes From Baghdad” from his Relapse album, explicitly criticizing Mariah Carey and her ex-husband Nick Cannon, despite the singer’s denial of the relationship.

In a since-deleted tweet from May 2009 titled “How Cute,” Nick Cannon declared that he is “taking full action” against the artist and his actions. That same year, in November, Mariah Carey responded subduedly with the smash hit “Obsessed,” widely regarded as a jab at Eminem. In the music video, she even wore similar outfits to him.

A New Diss Track Released

Many years later, after the start of their quarrel, Nick Cannon released a new diss track against Eminem. In the new song “Canceled: Invitation,” Nick Cannon appears to accuse Eminem of racism by using a sample from the previously released song “Ole Foolish Pride,” in which Eminem accuses African American ladies by calling them “dumb” and the “B-word.”

Though Nick Cannon dubbed this new song his ‘Eminem diss track,’ many still accused him of promoting racist lyrics instead of insulting a rival rapper. Yet, the use of racist language in rap lyrics has been the talk of the town for years now.

Many believe this kind of craft shouldn’t help promote abusive and offensive racist words. However, others still defend it, saying that rap is a vehicle in which artists can express their works with artistic freedom.

The Start of Another Battle

After this new track’s release, fans believe the clash between the two rappers will reignite. They also await a new Eminem diss clap back against Nick Cannon.

Also, as this new track with evident racist lyrics is released, many are expected to voice their opinions against using such language in hip-hop. Since it is such a sensitive topic, people will likely call out rappers and hip-hop artists to ensure their songs will positively impact listeners and not promote inappropriate behavior such as racism.
