After being president for eight long years, Obama decided to have a well-deserved vacation to a stunning Palm Springs House in Southern California!

As soon as he handed the keys of the white house to then-elected President Donald Trump, Barack Obama and his wife, Michelle Obama, went on a trip to one of the most stunning places in the United States.

Among many choices, they decided to rent out this 11,000-square-foot stucco home, decorated with sophisticated furniture that truly enhances each corner of the house. 

The house was reportedly built in the early 1970s by one of the most known architects in the world, Howard Lapham. The house’s design is inspired by Mayan Revival design, a popular midcentury style influenced by Frank Lloyd Wright-designed homes from the 1920s.

The exact number of rooms wasn’t revealed to the public. However, just based on its size, there is no doubt that this getaway mansion can accommodate more people than anyone expects. 

Moreover, another fun fact about this house is that one of its owners, Michael S. Smith was also the designer that redecorated the White House when Obama sat down for office in 2009.

With Obama frequently visiting the area, people started to speculate that the then-president might have plans to purchase this Palm Springs House to officially call it his own.
