In the ten seasons of USA Network’s reality TV show Chrisley Knows Best, Todd Chrisley’s siblings never once appeared. It was only him, Lindsie, and Kyle with his ex-wife Teresa, his second wife Julie, and their kids Chase, Savannah, and Grayson.
It definitely raised eyebrows among viewers because, as The List pointed out, Todd was very dedicated to his blood. In fact, he even made amends with his estranged son, Kyle. So, what was the reason behind this? Let’s find out.

Georgia native and real estate tycoon Michael Todd Chrisley or simply Todd to viewers, grew up with two younger brothers: Randy and Derrick.
According to Celebrity Net Worth Reporter, Derrick, the youngest of three, died in 1971 when he was just four months old. There was no indicated cause for his passing, and Todd never really shared anything about him. On the other hand, his other brother Randy is still very much alive.
Us Weekly reported that back in 2014, when the show was just starting, Randy was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. According to the family’s representative, they were devastated by the news. However, they were still hopeful that Randy would recover fully and quickly. They also asked the media and the fans for space and privacy as they dealt with the situation at hand.
When Chrisley Knows Best started rolling for more seasons, it made sense that Randy wasn’t there as he was supposed to be in recovery. But after the family’s initial statement regarding the diagnosis, they didn’t make any follow-ups or even talk about it all.
The more plausible reason Randy didn’t get featured on the show was his rather scandalous background. (Although he wasn’t the only one in the family to bear the reputation. If you have been following the Chrisley family, you’d know that Todd himself and his wife Julie had been found guilty of fraud.)

In 2016, Todd revealed through Instagram that his brother’s ex-wife Pamela had been embroiled in a nasty extortion scheme. After Randy filed for divorce from her, Pamela conspired with other individuals ‘to extort hundreds of thousands of dollars from their family.’ The tycoon also informed fans and viewers that his former sister-in-law had two arrest warrants: one for blackmail and another for harassment.
In a later report by Radar, it was also discovered that on top of demanding money, Pamela also threatened physical violence against Todd and his mother, Faye. “I do not know Pamela, and I will fortunately never have to,” Todd said.
Before the whole chaotic divorce drama, Randy had also been involved in a stealing crime. According to a published report, he stole $22 worth of candy.
Initially, he excused himself, saying he didn’t have the room to carry the candies, so he put them in his pants. However, after the responding officer realized he hadn’t been telling the truth and that he actually taped the candy to his legs to prevent them from coming out, he quickly admitted to it.
Even with that, we can’t say with a hundred percent certainty that these were the reasons behind the absence of Todd Chrisley’s siblings (well, in the case of Randy) on the show. Maybe Todd’s younger brother just wanted some privacy after all he had been through. We should probably retire the mystery to a case of Chrisley Knows Best.
