The 90 Day fiance couple, Kim and Usman, have experienced relationship ups and downs since they made their 90 Day Fiancé debut. Usman’s singing captured the attention of San Diego restaurant manager Kim, 50, after she saw him perform on season four of 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days.

90 day fiancé Usman, then 32, was getting married to Lisa “Babygirl” Hamme. Unfortunately, they later split because there were accusations that she had been dismissed for referring to him in a racist slur. 

When Usman was dating Zara, he was already talking to Kimberly. She eventually dumped him because she was envious of his fans.

Kim was unaware that Usman was recording a music video about his girlfriend Zara in Zanzibar when she went to meet him there. To feel like she had gained Usman’s love, Kim wanted to go from being his “possible” girlfriend to his “official” girlfriend. However, due to his failed marriage to Lisa, Usman hesitates to date Kim. 

He didn’t hesitate to accept Kim’s pricey presents, including a PlayStation, a MacBook, and a flashy “Sojaboy” necklace. Later on, Usman is accused of being too close to Kim for the sake of having a green card, while Kim is called a ‘predator’ for trying to have sex with her.

Everything about these two’s relationship was nothing but rocky and superficial. Once, Usman went to the airport to say goodbye to Kim as she was about to depart Tanzania. 

Usman, however, declined to kiss Kim, which angered her. His justification was that a kiss would be like publicly declaring their relationship.

But afterward, Usman called Zara to confess his feelings for her when Kim took off for America. He sang her a song he had written in her honor while revealing his affection for her. 

Usman even said that he anticipated marrying Zara and having children with her in the future. When Kim saw this call between Usman and Zara on the Tell-All, viewers assumed that this complicated relationship was over, but hey, it didn’t end at all.

Once the show aired, Usman defended himself on Instagram while spoiling his plot with Kim. He said the filmmakers had pushed him to phone Zara for two hours.

Also, the call came while he was still in Zanzibar on day five rather than after Kim had left. Usman responded angrily to claims he was dating Kim for her money, asserting he earns more than she does.

He acknowledged that the age difference between him and Kim gave some pause, but he noted that they always manage to work things out no matter how up and down things get. Usman said he is not a regular cast member and cautioned TLC not to modify his story again.

Fans expressed concerns over Kim and Usman not being married after they were revealed as returning cast members for 90 Day Fiancé: Happily, Ever After? Season 7, considering that they do not suit the program’s tone. Yet unlike many other 90-Day Fiancé couples, Usman and Kim’s journey has a fun element, making the producers think they should be in the new season.

90 Day fiancé Kim and Usman’s Current Status

Are Usman and Kimberly still together? The latest news says Kim is ‘done and over’ with Usman. The couple provided host Shaun Robinson with an update on the current developments in their complex on-and-off romance. They said it ended on a “really sad note,” Kim later confirmed that they are no longer together.

This information did not surprise many, as most viewers think the couple’s relationship was very toxic from the start. Their relationship wasn’t ideal for the long term, from the problems they had with Usman’s family, the troubles of adopting a son, and their arguments.

In one of his interviews, Usman stated, “I cannot continue this way,” Usman said in an interview. “I cannot be in a relationship that is so toxic, and it looks unhealthy to me. I don’t see any reason why a woman that is 18 years older than me would be behaving like somebody who is younger than me.” But Kim has another thing on her mind after the breakup.

After being asked to elaborate on their relationship status, Kim said, “we’re friends, but we’re cool … I told him, we can just be friends with benefits, I’m good with that. I told him that.” The statement resulted in Usman ‘Sojaboy’ becoming uncomfortable.  

Usman’s awkward laugh from where he was on screen, Kim added, “I don’t know, we don’t really talk. I mean, we joke about it and everything, I just want to see him one last time.”

The Breaking Point

This season has seen some significant ups and downs for the couple, including Usman’s desire to adopt his nephew and the hardship of getting the approval of Sojaboy’s family in accepting Kim as his future wife. But from all the obstacles they’ve had, it turns out that Usman making fun of her was the final straw that caused the pair to break up. 

Kim became agitated when she realized Usman was criticizing her for how she walked and dressed. He tried to apologize, but she would not accept it.

Usman later revealed in a conversation with a producer that the disagreement began over him cleaning their room by himself because it was looking messy. He claimed Kim took offense, and everyone was laughing about it. He kept calling her out, Kim yelled back, and she was unhappy about it.

She complained to Usman that despite all her sacrifices to be with him, he could not even hold a conversation with her because he was preoccupied with his phone, eventually boiling down to Kim mentioning ‘sex’ in the conversation. She said that they had not had sex for a while, which strengthens the fact that she might be able to let go of Usman’s sexy thing.

As 90 Day fiancé Kim and Usman’s relationship finally ends, many anticipate whether they will stay as ‘friends with benefits or if Usman will reject the idea of having Kim in his bed occasionally. 

Although there is no confirmation whether Kim’s proposal was accepted, fans are preparing for another chapter of their whirlwind romance. Who knows, they might adopt the FWB label and have a comeback next season.
