The True Reason Why “The Challenge” Ashley Mitchell Was Eliminated From The Show

One after another, issues started to pop out when MTV decided to send Ashley Mitchell home during one episode of the hit show “The Challenge.” A lot of people were saying that she was targeted unfairly by the management.

However, the MTV representative clarified the issue, stating that Mitchell was sent home based on her performance in the competition and that all the decisions were fair for all the contestants.

The network made it clear that Mitchell had broken one of their rules, and because of that, everyone in the show decided to send her home since she could no longer stay in the game. However, it seems like Mitchell’s fans weren’t satisfied with the management’s explanation. So, without any choice, the network finally asks the contestants to speak out about it on their behalf.

Several other participants in the show then spoke out in defense of MTV’s decision, including Devin Walker. According to him, if people don’t accept the network’s decision, then that should be all right. After all, the truth does not matter that often anymore.

He then said that, although many people are upset, they don’t have all the information about what happened. However, seeing everyone almost say that the show was unfair for kicking someone who showed violence during the show is just absurd.

Walker added that even if Mitchell’s fans think that everything seems so unfair for their favorite, that she’s being targeted all because she’s a woman, Walker can guarantee to everyone that is not the case at all.

Some speculated that during The Challenge: Spies, Lies & Allies segment, Mitchell allegedly said some derogatory things about Josh Martinez, which eventually caused her to get kicked out. However, none of those claims were confirmed during the height of the issue.

Moreover, even Walker didn’t actually state what exactly happened during the show, considering it involves multiple parties. So, out of respect for those involved, he decided not to disclose anything without anyone’s permission. After all, this is none of his business in the first place.

Aside from Walker, other contestants like Tori Deal also say that Martinez is not why Mitchell was sent home. In fact, Martinez was said to be the victim in the situation.

Just like Walker, Deal also didn’t share that much detail about what really happened. However, she did express how absurd it is that people started slamming Martinez for something he hasn’t done.

Meanwhile, Emanuel Neagu also shared a statement saying he was right in the heart of the situation trying to defend Martinez against Mitchell. Like Deal, Neagu also sees Martinez as the victim, not Mitchell.

That said, it seems like Mitchell’s elimination was not due to her being targeted unfairly by the show’s producers or other contestants. But instead, it was because of her reckless behavior during the show’s taping.

Based on the detailed analysis of the events leading up to her elimination, it seems like Mitchell has been having a hard time since the start, considering the challenges she faced continuously. Aside from that, her poor performance also played a big role in her elimination.

The controversy started making headlines in 2021, and it actually took about a year for the real reason to come out. It turns out that Mitchell said to be intoxicated from the night before the said challenge day.

It resulted in her not doing well during the challenge. Aside from that, her uncontrolled emotions caused a heated argument with Martinez. On top of that, she also reportedly threw a cup in front of the production.

So, since the challenge is very strict with its rules when one contestant fails to comply, they will be automatically sent home. With that said, one of the hard and fast rules on The Challenge is that players cannot put their hands on each other, and since Mitchell put people in harm’s way, the production obviously didn’t like that.

As a result, she was immediately sent home by the management. So it seems like MTV‘s decision to eliminate Ashley Mitchell from “The Challenge” was fair and based on the rules of the competition after all.
