In every video, Brooke would always get many comments, with people being very curious about her appearance without all the makeup. Born in 2003, the LA native has always been very passionate about makeup; by 15, she started fully wearing them. She hadn’t really been seen on social media without it.
Then on May 13, 2021, she finally indulged fans and revealed her bare face without makeup. According to the social media personality, she had been asked so many times, and she wasn’t wearing any at that time because she had a stye.
Many were quick to comment on her look (which was just honestly less on the lashes) and that she was nothing without her makeup. One commenter even said she was overrated.
Brooke decided to make a TikTok about it and confront all the haters. It was just nine seconds long, but it was all she needed.
In the intro, she said that she felt pretty even without makeup. Then, when she searched her name on the app, all she saw were hate comments. She compiled the comments with Julia Michaels’ song “What a Lie What a Lie” with Niall Horan playing in the background.

Aside from the many fans who genuinely support her, Brooke’s boyfriend and fellow TikTok star Sam Dezz was also very open in celebrating her natural look. On her 19th birthday, he uploaded a series of posts of Brooke wearing no makeup.
The first one was taken in the car, where her hair was pulled back in a pony, and she was holding a soft toy on her lap. Sam captioned the photo saying, “HAPPY BIRTHDAY NERD @BROOKEMONK,” which Brooke reshared, writing, “Not the morning rat face ????.” The second one was a simple selfie with heart emojis and a FaceTime screencap saying, “LAST ONE LOSER.”
Brooke and Sam started out as friends when Brooke slid into his Snapchat DMs and befriended him. The two chatted for months and then finally hung out together when Brooke visited LA. And the rest is history.
