Last April 11, 2022, veteran actor Dennis Quaid graced the red carpet of the 56th annual CMT Awards at Nashville Municipal Auditorium in Tennessee with his lovely muse and wife, Laura Savoie. Quaid, famously known for his portrayal of singer Jerry Lee Lewis in the 1989 film “Great Balls of Fire,” has been tied to music for a long time as singer and guitarist of his band The Sharks.

Since they began dating in 2019, the couple has been very private with their relationship, rarely getting photographed together at any big red carpet events. However, when they finally did, they did not disappoint at all. In fact, you can even say that they effortlessly nailed it.
Quaid, 68, and Savoie, 29, arrived in a stylish, coordinated black ensemble. The actor looked dapper wearing a black lapel over a black V-neck shirt layered with a silver-toned blazer and matched with black jeans and blue-grey boots. And for the hair, he had his brown locks combed to one side.
On the other hand, his wife Savoie stunningly cut a Galvan signature corset jumpsuit featuring a spaghetti strap top with a plunging neckline and flared bottoms. She added a dainty silver cross necklace to accessorize her look. And for the finishing touch, she simply had her loose blonde waves tousled over her shoulders.
The couple tied the knot back in June 2020 after getting engaged in October. It was an intimate wedding held at a seaside resort in Santa Barbara, California, with only their pastor in attendance. They had to postpone their originally-planned wedding since there were growing concerns about COVID-19 at the time.

When asked in an appearance on the TODAY show, a month later, about their 39-year age gap, Quaid said that neither of them really paid any attention to it. The actor-musician said that they don’t actually notice it and that he had never related to someone in his life better than they did.
Before they even got married, Quaid had already faced significant backlash for dating a younger woman. Opening up with The Guardian, he said he understood that ‘everyone comes from the perspective of their own life,’ so he couldn’t comment on how they felt.
He even expressed that he can’t even get angry. But he clarified that he didn’t go out looking for someone younger and that they just happened to meet at a business event and develop a relationship.
Nevertheless, the age gap didn’t really ever bother him or Savoie—that and even the fact that Quaid had already been married thrice.
The first among Dennis Quaid’s wives was P.J. Soles, whom he married in 1978, shortly after filming their movie “Our Winning Season.” They divorced after four years. Then he remarried in 1991 to his “Innerspace” co-star Meg Ryan with whom he had a son, Jack.
Sadly, their marriage ended in 2001. Three years later, Quaid ventured into love again and tied the knot with real estate broker Kimberly Buffington from 2004 until 2016. The couple welcomed their twins via surrogate named Thomas Boone and Zoe Grace in 2007.
However, according to the actor, Laura Savoie is the final one. In an interview, he described his now-wife as fantastic. Savoie holds a double master’s degree in economics and business, and behind all that is “a soulful, wonderful, beautiful person.”
Savoie shared that the quarantine hadn’t been easy, but their shared faith became their greatest source of strength. It brought them back to being loving and kind to each other and working through the inevitable things that come with a relationship.
Dennis Quaid and Laura Savoie definitely enjoyed the CMT Awards Night. On the red – or should we say pink – carpet, the couple posed with ZZ Top’s Billy Gibbons and his wife, Gilligan Stillwater. They were also caught on cam cozily chatting with each other during the ceremony.
