Actors Jack Wagner and Kristina Wagner’s relationship blossomed from on-screen lovers as General Hospital’s Frisco and Felicia to real-life partners. And, of course, everyone was swooning over them when the news broke out. Who wouldn’t be supportive of their romance? They were one of the super couples of the ’80s soap opera scene!
In a 2016 interview with Entertainment Tonight, Kristina shared that falling in love with each other was inevitable as they were ‘being thrown together on set in a romantic way.’ She also added that Jack was a fun, entertaining, and engaging guy.
The couple kept their status secret for a while, then made it public in 1990 when Kristina got pregnant with their first child, Peter. Three years later, they exchanged their vows in a private ceremony held in Lake Tahoe. In 1994, the couple welcomed an addition to their family, a son named Harrison.
Unfortunately, just like their characters, their marriage didn’t work out.
End of an Era
In 2001, ET reported that Jack and Kristina Wagner split. But the couple reconciled and called off their divorce in 2004. Then less than two years later, they decided to split again though there was no going back this time. They really drew their final curtain down.
Post-divorce, Kristina Wagner shared how closing her and Jack’s chapter together was an awakening. She realized that she needed to figure out what was going on with her and move forward. She said, “It’s easy to lose yourself when you’re only in your young twenties and you’re just doing what’s expected of you, not really thinking about your own needs.”
The actress also felt that their decision to divorce was the best thing she could have done for her children. At the time, she didn’t think she was making good choices as a mother. And she had to deal with herself and help herself first before she could help others.

Jack and Kristina may have fallen out of love, but the friendship they have built together over decades remained strong.
While speaking with Parade in 2015, Jack said about Kristina: “We have a deep love for one another. I love her to death and I think she feels the same way. The fact that we’re not married really doesn’t change that.” He also added that they have gotten over the past.
Kristina even appeared as a guest on her ex-husband’s Hallmark series When Calls The Heart in its second season. While there were definitely mixed feelings – Jack even jokingly called it ‘frightening’ – between them reuniting on screen, their strong working relationship and great chemistry made up for all of it. And just like Frisco and Felicia, they once again nailed it.
The level of respect and appreciation they had for one another really helped them in creating a healthy co-parenting environment for their children.
But in 2022, the former couple experienced a tragic loss with the death of their 27-year-old son Harrison. According to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner, his body was found in a parking lot at 5:14 am on June 6th.

Jack had been open about his son’s drug and alcohol addiction before on his social media pages. In 2016, he even posted a message saying that Harrison had relapsed and was missing for days. (Jack later confirmed that he got in touch with his son).
In the wake of their son’s passing, Jack and Kristina created the ‘Harrison Wagner Scholarship Fund’ in partnership with New Life House Recovery Community. They hope Harrison’s memory will live on through it and, at the same time, help other young men like him get the help they need.
