Jessica Simpson recently discovered that using humor may be the best defense against strange and marginally sexist Instagram remarks regarding her nipples.
The singer-turned-designer was attacked on Instagram after she posted a photo of herself and her younger daughter Birdie Mae. Jessica has received an absurd amount of criticism on the internet, whether for letting her 7-year-old daughter dye her hair or for failing to buckle her daughter into a car seat properly.

The picture of Jessica cradling her 5-month-old baby is innocent enough, and the mother-of-three has received numerous remarks on her beauty. Naturally, nasty people continued to do what they do best on social media. Some netizens noticed Jessica Simpson’s nip slip on the photo and started leaving comments under the post.
The comment refers to the massive 2014 release of stolen celebrity nude images, which the singer was not a part of. Jessica Simpson chose to reply to the outrageously disrespectful remark with humor by saying it was “flattering,” as opposed to being serious or angry.
Of course, it was not the first time Jessica received such comments about her body. In 2020, she spoke about Vogue body-shaming her “for having boobs.”

Simpson criticized the publication, particularly one of its former employees, in an Instagram post to her 5.3 million followers for “shaming” her in an article on the 2020 Met Gala, postponed due to the coronavirus outbreak.
Jessica has also said that the negative press that her body received caused damage that might last a lifetime. She added a journal entry in 2009 regarding the harsh assessment of a concert costume she wore in a new portion of her best-selling memoir Open Book.
This issue is just one example of how body objectification is more targeted toward women than men. Many believe that men aren’t often judged for showing naked parts of their bodies. On the other hand, women receive negative backlash for showing even a tiny piece of their skin.

Jessica Simpson’s response to her nipple slip is empowering, showing that she is more confident of her body and has more command of it than anybody else. Her reaction is also one hilarious way of shutting down the trolls on the internet who think they can say whatever they want on anything. We must never forget that famous people are just like us, and they will not tolerate nasty behaviors like this one.
People on the internet are going wilder each day, and the comments Jessica Simpson received about her nipples are one thing that deserves attention. In addition, we should encourage body appreciation and acceptance in this generation. No matter how one may look, there is no better way to build up the community than by supporting one another.
