Eventually, in 1991, Julia Arnaz’s mother, model Susan Callahan-Howe, Desi Arnaz Jr.’s ex-girlfriend, took a paternity test which revealed the truth about the true identity of Julia. According to some reports, Julia Arnaz was born when her mom was only 15 years old, years before she and Arnaz Jr. formed a relationship.
Without a father around, she grew up alongside her model mother, Suzanne Callahan-Howe. She was often informed that she came from a Hollywood family, but she didn’t take it as seriously as some people may have.
However, on the day of Ball’s passing, Julia was extremely motivated to learn more about her linkage to the famous family after her mother told stories about the Hollywood actress. She is so low-key that many people don’t even know when she was born. That said, by 2023, it’s believed that she will be in her fifties. In addition to her well-known family history, she is known for having a professional photographer daughter named Desiree S. Anzalone.
Unfortunately, in 2020, Desiree made it to the headlines after she died at the age of 31 due to breast cancer. Julia states that watching her daughter slip away was just so painful.
Julia added that “She was so beautiful, just so beautiful inside and out. She really, really reminded me a lot of my grandmother, more so than I.”
Despite her loss, Julia chose to be an advocate for early breast cancer detection, especially for younger women, in hopes that she could help as many people as she could.
