Stillbirth and miscarriages are not new to many. According to some reports, stillbirth affects about 1 in 175 births, and thousands of babies born in the United States are stillborn. That’s why mothers who experience such tragic events in their motherhood life suffer greatly. Despite all this information, many people are still unaware of the negative consequences stillbirths have on the overall health of the parents.

According to UNICEF, most mothers, along with their partners who experience stillbirths are more likely to develop anxiety and depression that may persist for a very long time. That’s why it is important to acknowledge and address any grief associated with this loss as soon as possible.

It is obvious that in the TV star’s case, the early signs of such mental stress are rapidly worsening since the traumatic experience is beginning to affect their daily life. Thankfully, because of their efforts to make sure they would not experience such a mental roller coaster, the couple managed to stop any additional emotional issues.

In some cases, mothers who cannot handle such emotional distress hope their anguish will end by harming themselves. Even if the healing process takes longer than anticipated, moms must seek advice and support from people who are most qualified to do so.

For those wondering where to seek help, there are some websites that offer information and support to people who have experienced stillbirth.

Grieving.com, The MISS Foundation, The Compassionate Friends (TCF), and Mommies Enduring Neonatal Death are some of the many foundations and groups online that could help you in your grieving journey.

That said, ‘Siesta Key’ star Madisson Hausburg’s baby’s death somehow became a medium to spread awareness about the underlying worst effects of stillbirth to parents across the globe. That is why discussing miscarriages or stillbirths shouldn’t be taboo or linked to stigma and shame. Many women still don’t receive appropriate care when their baby dies during pregnancy or childbirth, so spreading awareness is necessary.
