Rob Thomas’s wife, Marisol Maldonado, had brain surgery for the lesion her doctor found. The famous model is the only woman who has persuaded Rob Thomas to give her his heart and start a fairytale-like love story together.
After a press release about the MRI that revealed the lesion, the Matchbox Twenty frontman informed his fans of the tough time via a Facebook post. Rob Thomas’s wife needed surgery as soon as possible to minimize more risk.

Marisol has several severe health conditions, so the pair had to overcome additional obstacles. After the brain surgery, she developed some tick-borne illnesses, including Neurologic Lyme Disease, Babesiosis, and Bartonella. Despite this, the singer never left his wife alone and stood firm on the vows they made at their wedding.
Rob Thomas also appreciated the small things while dealing with his wife’s illness. “With everything that’s been happening, that we’ve all been experiencing as a community over the last year and a half, we realize how fortunate we are,” Rob also said that during these challenging times that he was able to feel how lucky he is to still have a job, food on the table, and a house to come home to.

While Marisol Maldonado is recovering from her brain surgery, Rob is always assisting her throughout the way. Both parties try their best to stay lowkey in their relationship, and it is clear that they have a deep connection with each other.
