One thing is for sure; a lot has happened in season three. So for those who don’t know, ‘The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel’ is a hit comedy series set during the 1950s-60s. The show mainly follows the life of Miriam “Midge” Maisel, starred by actress Rachel Brosnahan.

Maisel is a typical New Yorker housewife who is adapted to the city’s hectic pace. One day, while conducting her typical wifely duties, she discovers that she has a talent for stand-up comedy, which drives her to seek a career in the said industry.
Maisel can experience a series of events throughout each season. However, fans had to wait extra two years after the release of seasons 1, 2, and 3 due to the pandemic. Now that season 4 just premiered in 2022, and season 5 –the finale will be released in 2023, let’s refresh everyone’s memory of what has happened during the series season 3 before we dive into the next seasons.
Maisel has a lot to deal with in Season 3. Viewers witnessed her blazing success with her comedy career as she embarked on her first USO show tour with Shy Baldwin. Maisel even had the opportunity to open for Shy’s show at Harlem’s iconic Apollo Theater in the final episode.
Because this was such a significant occasion, it was only normal for her to feel nervous about being a part of it. Sterling K. Brown, who plays Shy’s manager, Reggie, urges Maisel to talk about Shy as a person and the USO trip.

Maisel’s remarks regarding Shy, on the other hand, don’t appear to be ‘funny’ at all. Midge’s show plays on his flamboyant attire and personality, and she puts him to the audience as a gay man. As a result, Reggie kicks her off the tour at the conclusion of the season.
Maisel, on the other hand, has been dealing with personal issues due to Susie’s gambling habit. Maisel loses the money she planned to spend as a down payment on her former apartment because of Suzie’s gambling addiction.
What makes things worse for her is that Maisel does not understand what is happening. As a result, she will undoubtedly use her contract with Shy Baldwin as collateral. The bigger issue is that her sole saver is now also gone.
On a side note, Maisel and her ex-husband, Joel, which for many fans can still be considered a fling, has this kind of crazy relationship. For context, the two had a one-night stand at the end of Season 2, which led them to file for a divorce. But then, after they got drunk in Vegas, the two found themselves tying the knot again, only to cut it for the second time.
Joel is also seen developing a nightclub in season 3, which he immediately discovers contains a clandestine casino in the basement. As he works to launch the nightclub, Joel meets Mei, the building’s owner. In a surprising turn of events, the two developed a connection, eventually leading them to begin dating.

Many people are also curious about what transpired between Rose and Abe in season 3. As it turns out, Abe, played by Tony Shalhoub, and Rose, played by Marin Hinkle, are compelled to vacate their apartment after quitting their position at Columbia University since it was revealed that the university actually owns it.
The couple had to move in with Joel’s parents as a result of the unexpected revelation. Fortunately, Abe found a job after getting in touch with Asher Friedman, a character played by Jason Alexander whom the theater shunned because of his Communist Party affiliations. Abe writes an article about Asher for The New York Times, which eventually results in him receiving an offer from The Village Voice.
Other than that, season 3 did end on a cliffhanger, with Midge and Susie’s tour bus breaking down on the side of the road. Now viewers are excited to know more about the story as it continues to have seasons four and five. So, if you haven’t watched ‘The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel’ Season 3 yet, you can first check it on Amazon Prime Video.
