There is one challenge that all marriages face, the good old “test of time.” When it comes to that, Michael Ealy and his wife Khatira Rafiqzada’s marriage has already survived the test of time, with them celebrating their 10th anniversary in October 2022.
On average, married couples who encounter problems during their marriage only last for five years. So lasting six years and above is like the next level already.
The two shared heartfelt messages on social media to celebrate their milestone, with Ealy expressing his love and admiration for his wife. In the said post, Ealy stated that he already knew he found his gold on their 2nd date, and he has been reflecting on the phenomenon that is Rafiqzada ever since.

Rafiqzada, on the other hand, has also shared a heartfelt message in a post where she showed their throwback photos. In the caption, she stated that she is very happy they have grown up so well, seeing the world together.
Aside from building a home they can call theirs, they have also built a family of their own. She also thanked him for loving her at her best and worst and everything else in between. Always and forever, she promises to love him in the coming years.
Rafiqzada sharing such a heartfelt post somehow made fans admire her more, as she is known to be a private person and prefers to stay out of the public eye. So her sharing some of their memories online must have been a way to show her unconditional love to Ealy.

As of 2023, the couple already has two children, a 10-year-old son named Elijah Rakim and a 6-year-old daughter named Harlem. Reports say they dated for about four years after their first meeting in 2008. They then decided to take their relationship to the next level, as they tied the knot in October 2012.
During their 10th anniversary, it seems Ealy couldn’t stop admiring his wife. In one of his posts, he shared that he is very proud of his wife’s advocacy for the Afghan citizens as they fled following the withdrawal of U.S. troops and the Taliban’s takeover last 2022.
As an Afghan native, Rafiqzada never stopped finding ways of helping her own people when in need. She even sponsored some goods for the refugees stuck in the battle. She was very vocal in her advocacy to help those in need. That’s why Ealy always stands in awe of his wife’s quiet strength.

Aside from that, Ealy has also previously spoken about how Rafiqzada has helped him grow as a person and how much he values her support. He literally became a better man because of her undying love.
