Many are curious about the “My 600-lb Life” stars and what they are doing now. Are they still on the exact weight we last saw them in?

Dramatic transformations are common in reality television, but few are as extensive as those shown on the well-liked TLC program “My 600-lb Life.” Numerous men and women have changed their lives since the program’s launch in 2012 due to Dr. Younan Nowzaradan’s participation.

Based in Houston, Texas, Dr. Younan Nowzaraden offers weight reduction surgery on clients who frequently are eager to enhance their quality of life before it’s too late.

Even though the trip is never simple for these people, it is worthwhile to recover their lives again and continue to pursue the goals they had previously given up on. Let’s find out what they are doing now.

Melissa Morris

Melissa Morris, the original star of “My 600-lb Life,” was the first to be showcased on the program. She is in a very different location now. Even though Melissa’s weight has changed over the years, as seen in “My 600-lb Life: Where Are They Now?”, it is clear from her Instagram profile that she is constantly living her best life.

We are all aware of how badly Melissa desired to have children. Despite all the odds and challenges, Melissa gave birth to Allona on May 1, 2010. According to a post on her Instagram profile, she has three children as of right now.

Along with being a mother, which keeps her busy, Melissa shares her journey in public. She’s been involved in Weight Watchers for a while now. She has also been reading novels, spending time at the beach, watching baseball, and attending concerts.

Zsalynn Whitworth

Zsalynn Whitworth’s tale was introduced in the show’s second season, infamous for featuring her manipulative and unsupportive husband, who put his obsession before Zsalynn’s actual life. She revealed in a follow-up segment that the couple did, in fact, eventually get a divorce, which was fortunate for her. Their daughter is still in joint custody, but their romance has ended.

So how are the “My 600-lb Life” stars doing now? Zsalynn spoke openly about her feelings during the episode. She acknowledged that after the divorce, she had issues with cravings for sweets, loneliness, and depression. Despite these obstacles, she decided to move through and finally have skin removal surgery. She also mentioned wanting to get out more and date.

It appears like Zsalynn has discovered someone wonderful, just like what she wanted. Her daughter, Hannah, is also growing up beautifully.

Donald Shelton

Donald Shelton Jr. has had a remarkable turnaround while appearing on the TLC program. Donald weighed 675 pounds when he first appeared on the show in 2012. He underwent gastric bypass surgery afterward and significantly reduced his weight.

Later, the former TLC star was diagnosed with Guillain-Barre illness, which caused decreased mobility and inability to walk. Although Donald now needs a wheelchair, his optimistic attitude toward life hasn’t changed.

Nevertheless, those hoping to glimpse Donald’s daily life will be disappointed. The former reality TV star maintains a discreet social media presence. Donald, too, seems to be experiencing some financial difficulties due to his health condition.

Christina Phillips

At 23, Christina Phillips weighed 708 pounds when she finally decided it was time to change. At the time, Christina consumed significantly more calories than the advised daily intake, or around 7,000 calories per day.

Today, Christina is hardly recognizable from the lady she was in the past. She had lost so much weight—her lowest reported weight was 172 pounds—that she had a lot of extra skin at one point and was having trouble with her self-image. After finding her happy spot, Christina can run 5Ks and spend time with her nephews. “I am alive, I am better than I was and all I can do is focus on myself,” Christina revealed in an interview.

Tara Taylor

Tara Taylor was 35 when she appeared in the show’s second season. The Louisiana native admitted on her episode that she had battled her weight her entire life and that it had come to the point where it made her self-conscious and made her remain inside more often.

Later, Tara disclosed that she had dumped her fiancé after learning he had been cheating via a dating app with other women. Tara didn’t specifically explain how she discovered her husband was having an affair. That said, she did make it apparent that they had parted ways permanently.

Amber Rachdi

Amber Rachdi is the burgeoning Instagram queen among the celebrities that have emerged from “My 600-lb Life.” She frequently posts updates to her account, showcasing her cosmetic abilities, adorable hairstyles, and a new wardrobe.

Amber also mentioned that she keeps up her healthy habits and frequent exercise. She wrote on her Facebook page about needing to recuperate from Hurricane Harvey. Other than that, everything is going well for her.

Marla McCants

Marla McCants was at her wits’ end on “My 600-lb Life.” She was bedridden, weighed nearly 800 pounds, and lost almost all her mobility. Her previous traumatizing events continued to plague her, making it necessary for her to rely on harmful habits to cope with her physical struggles.

According to her Instagram, she works as a motivational speaker and humanitarian. Marla also wrote a book during a Sister Circle TV interview.

Brittani Fulfer

Brittani Fulfer is now practically unrecognizable compared to how she appeared in My 600-lb Life. After subsequent surgery, an even trimmer Brittani appeared in a later follow-up episode with newfound vigor to achieve her objectives.

Another post said she had been going on adventures with her buddies while out and about, and Brittani’s spouse has always encouraged her. Brittani is undoubtedly living the best version of her life at the moment.

Octavia Nichelle

Octavia Nichelle, who debuted in season 7, had a trying and tragic past that contributed to her weight gain. Her past struggles did not deter her from committing to losing weight, though. At 692 pounds when she started working with Dr. Nowzaraden, she had lost 456 pounds by the time her episode was over.

Octavia’s life has significantly improved since she appeared on the show. She often updates her Instagram and Facebook page, The Life of Octavia, with information on her life and weight loss progress.

Cillas Givens

Cillas Given had the most satisfying conclusion to his story out of all the Season 7 cast members of “My 600-lb Life.” Cillas didn’t have much going for him after experiencing a painfully lonely childhood and a delayed entry into puberty.

Cillas gained a top 729 pounds due to his emotional instability and loneliness. If he wanted to succeed, he required a significant adjustment.

Fortunately for Cillas, he had Dr. Nowzaradan’s help and the backing of his girlfriend Jessica and her kids. At the end of his episode, he shed a startling 388 pounds, more than half his body weight.

Janine Mueller

Janine Mueller, a cast member of Season 6, gradually lost almost all her mobility as she put on weight and began using a scooter to move around. She was close to 700 pounds before she appeared on the show, but in her episode, she managed to shred off more than 100 pounds organically.

She qualified for weight reduction surgery and shed even more weight after overcoming numerous obstacles, including an emotional battle to board the plane to meet Dr. Nowzaraden. She dropped 397 pounds from 678 to 281 pounds, a remarkable weight decrease.

Janine has continued her weight loss journey and is having a “total blast” traveling, according to a Facebook post she made. Despite difficulties since she appeared on “My 600-lb Life,” including breaking up with her boyfriend, who viewers saw on the show, Janine has overcome barriers and continued losing weight.

Ashley Randall

Ashley Randall, a 24-year-old from Killeen, Texas, was initially featured in “My 600-lb Life” during the program’s debut season in 2012, which featured one of the program’s most painful episodes. Ashley gained sympathy and support from her appearance on “My 600-lb Life”, and there was a lot of hope that she could get past all the negativity in her life and accomplish her objectives.

It was true for everything in her life, from her turbulent upbringing to the catastrophes she experienced as an adult. In 2021, however, Ashley’s struggle with weight loss will tragically come to an end.

Ashley sadly joined the long list of former My 600-Lb Life members who died young on October 2, 2021, at 40, after developing an infection. Before her death, she was battling a horrible condition and even acquired pneumonia while receiving medical care.

The TLC TV show significantly changed many people’s lives after it aired, and the “My 600-lb Life” cast’s life before and after inspired most viewers to change their points of view. As for Dr. Nowzaradan, many believe his net worth is $6 million, and he is still working in Obesity Surgery in Houston, Texas.
