‘Below Deck Sailing Yacht’ Cast Member Ashley Marti Is Finding More Success on OnlyFans Than On Bravo

Bravo’s reality TV series ‘Below Deck Sailing Yacht’ star Ashley Marti has ditched her stew life for a career on OnlyFans. According to a report published by Daily Mail, Marti joined the platform in April 2022 and already had around 4,100 fans in just a couple of months.

Marti charged $12.50 for the subscription, giving her roughly $51,000 in monthly earnings.

In a tweet she posted in June 2022, the reality star revealed that what she could earn in just a couple of hours on the platform was way more than what the cable TV paid her for six weeks. She even tagged Bravo on the tweet and thanked them for the free publicity.

All this came after her noticeable absence from the season’s reunion episode.

In a now-deleted Instagram post, Marti said it was her choice not to participate as she ‘didn’t have the energy nor desire to be a puppet for Bravo.’ She also felt she couldn’t fully tell her side of the story because of the editing.

If you’ve been following the controversial saga, Marti had been one of the “hated” characters aboard the yacht, with fans calling her “spiteful.”

First, she broke Gabriela Barragan’s privacy by telling another staff member what she shared with her in confidence. To make things worse, she did that after promising she wouldn’t repeat their conversation with anyone else.

Second, she continued to pursue First Officer Gary King despite being rejected. During one night off, the two had sex while King was obviously drunk.

Fans called it ‘sexual assault’ though King was adamant that he didn’t think anything of it. He thanked those who stood up for him but asked them to leave Marti alone.

nlyFans was founded by British entrepreneur Tim Stokely in 2016. However, it wasn’t until the pandemic that the membership-based platform gained popularity.

Three years after its first high, it has become one of the most lucrative careers, with the platform’s top creators earning as much as $100,000 per month and even more.

We have all heard the stories: People started out doing this as a supplementary source of income. And then, they quit their jobs altogether and did it full-time. Celebrities and influencers have also used it to ‘intimately connect with fans.’

In the case of ‘Below Deck Sailing Yacht’ ’s Ashley Marti, joining OnlyFans was a smart move because she already had a name and a following (despite being unliked by many). Being part of a show with a growing fanbase allowed her to build her brand and create an image.

Her controversy ultimately drove more traffic toward her and helped her become more relevant. As the saying usually goes, ‘Bad publicity is still publicity.’
