As the title goes, Basketball Wives follows the lives of professional basketball players’ wives. However, it doesn’t always live up to its title, and some of them are ex-wives and girlfriends. It’s basically everyone who has been romantically linked to the players. It debuted in 2010 and was created by Shaquille O’Neal‘s ex-wife, Shaunie.
The series received a warm response from the sports community, and now they’re ten seasons strong.

In Season 9, viewers witnessed how the landscape shifted with the pandemic. The major topic of discussion centered around conversations on police brutality and the Black Lives Matter movement. It was definitely a heavy season, and Season 10 will be carrying that on. This time, though, it would take on relationships.
It goes without saying that these all come with a lot of drama. Drama has always been an essential factor in the whole reality TV formula. As they say, it’s not reality TV without it. It’s expected.
For this season, fans will be seeing a lot of departures in the cast.
Evelyn Lozada, for one, will no longer be returning to the show. She had been in it on and off the whole nine seasons, and the drama had been weighing around her to the point of being so stressed about it.
In an interview with E! News’s Just the Sip, she shared that it was a hard decision, but she thought it was time for her to open up herself to the universe and allow other things to flow in.
Kristen Scott, wife of Thomas Scott, is also taking a bow. According to the announcement posted on The Jasmine Brand, she will focus on her family and other endeavors, including launching her children’s book “BROCCOLI HAIR.”
She first joined the show on Season 7 with her in-laws, but they had a falling out that season after she accused her father-in-law Byron of being a bad grandfather.
It’s unclear whether OG Torres left on her own accord or was fired due to her “aggressive” attitude toward the other cast members. OG came into the show with Kristen, and the drama between her and the others never really stopped. It’s mainly because she accused the cast of colorism, especially Lozada, who she said was particularly racist toward her.
Feby Torres won’t be in the tenth season either.
Though many are leaving, fans can take comfort with the familiar faces (Angel Brinks, Brandi Maxiell, British Williams, Brooke Bailey, and DJ Duffey) who will be stepping back onto the Basketball Wives screen. Longstanding cast members Shaunie O’Neal, Jackie Christie, Jennifer Williams, and Malaysia Pargo are keeping their seats.
Aside from departures, one of the central storylines for Season 10 would be Pargo and Maxiell’s fallout. The two haven’t confirmed anything, but they already deleted all photos of them on Instagram and also unfollowed each other – which is basically code for a friendship breakup.
That’s not all. There will also be intense confrontations due to a cheating scandal and conversations around family planning.
If you are curious how these would unfold, Basketball Wives Season 10 is available for streaming on Paramount+, Pluto TV, the official series page, and the VH1 App.
