Everyone was shocked after hearing the news of the sudden passing of social media influencer Everleigh Labrant’s dad. In the wake of the tragic death, Everleigh’s mother, Savannah LaBrant, asked her fans to “pray” for her daughter as she initially announced the heartbreaking news on Instagram.
Though it was a mystery why he died and the bereaved was also mum about the real reason for Tommy’s death, authorities later on were able to find the answer. Tommy Smith’s cause of death has been established as an accidental overdose from acute fentanyl intoxication, according to the Orange County Sheriff-Coroner.

Everleigh Rose Labrant’s dad is known to love and care for her daughter. On her Instagram post, Savannah wrote, “Our hearts are incredibly heavy as we process the loss of Everleigh’s dad, Tommy.
He loved Everleigh immensely.” Although they are not together anymore, Savannah is thankful that Tommy still became an excellent father to their daughter.
In an extract from her 2018 book Cole and Sav: Our Surprising Love Story, which she exclusively shared with PEOPLE at the time, Savannah (who had Everleigh when she was 19) spoke candidly about the highs and lows she and Tommy endured. Savannah, Cole, and Tommy also share a good relationship and consider each other as friends.

As shown in a 2020 video uploaded to Savannah and Cole’s YouTube channel, Tommy previously talked about his experiences co-parenting with Savannah while responding on social media to criticism directed at his ex-wife and her spouse, Cole Labrant.
Aside from appearing with Savannah and Cole, Tommy would often be featured on several YouTube videos with his daughter, Everleigh. The video serves as a collection of Everleigh Labrant and her dad, Tommy’s fun, collaborative TikTok videos, which shows how close the father and daughter were.
The young YouTube star was happy spending time with her stepdad, Cole, and her biological father, Tommy. She would often proclaim how much she loves having two dads, and sadly, one of them is already gone.
