Before we ask, “Where are they now?” let us first recap what Laguna Beach is. In 2004, Laguna Beach made its MTV debut. The program promised to portray the real lives of high school students in Orange County by focusing on those who attended Laguna Beach High School.
Throughout its three seasons, the program produced three spin-offs (The Hills, The City, and The Hills: New Beginnings). The teenage cast members also became huge celebrities, establishing the bar for an entirely new genre of glossy reality TV.
While Lo Bosworth, Lauren Conrad, Stephen Colletti, and Kristin Cavallari are still reasonably well-known, the rest of the group has returned to their regular lives. Here is what the Laguna Beach actors are now doing.
Lauren Conrad

During the first season, the show focused on the end of Lauren Conrad’s senior year while following her peers as they thought about what to do after graduating high school.
Lauren Conrad played the lead character in “The Hills,” a show that followed her and some new friends as they pursued their aspirations in Los Angeles. However, she left the program in the middle of the fifth season to work on other things.
She manages a marketplace called The Little Market, has her podcast, a fashion empire, and just recently launched her makeup line. Lauren has also authored numerous books in both fiction and non-fiction. She is also married to William Tell, a lawyer with whom she has two sons.
Kristin Cavallari
Season two focused entirely on Kristin Cavallari graduating and her delicate connection with Stephen Colletti, attending a San Francisco school. Sadly, after season two, Kristin departed the program. In an interview with Insider in July 2022, she said that writers chose her as the antagonist.
When Lauren Conrad’s final episode of “The Hills” aired, the torch was passed from Lauren to Kristin, who was introduced to viewers again. In season five, episode 10 of “The Hills,” “Something Old, Something New,” Kristin Cavallari attended the wedding of Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt. She stayed on the show until it ended in 2010.
In 2018, Kristin Cavallari’s reality program, “Very Cavallari,” premiered and centered on her life in Nashville with Jay Cutler. The couple was together from 2013 to 2020 and had three kids together.
Kristine also wrote two cookbooks and co-hosted a podcast titled “Back to the Beach with Kristin and Stephen,” a Laguna Beach revisit alongside Stephen Colletti.
Stephen Colletti
Throughout the show’s first two seasons, Stephen Colletti embodied the stereotypical California surfer lad. Most of his plots centered on his on-again, off-again romance with Kristin Cavallari. Additionally, he had a strong friendship with Lauren Conrad that always seemed to be headed for something more, but nothing ever materialized on-screen.
Being the program’s main character, it’s unsurprising that Stephen turned his attention to acting following Laguna Beach. Stephen was part of One Tree Hill as Chase Adams from 2007 until 2012.
Stephen also co-wrote, co-produced, and co-starred in Everyone is Doing Great with James Lafferty in 2018. Stephen Colletti recently co-hosted Laguna Beach: Back to the Beach podcast with his ex-girlfriend Kristin.
Jessica Smith

Jessica Smith was Jason Wahler’s devoted girlfriend, but the two parted ways after having too many arguments about how she couldn’t trust Jason in season two. During season one, Jessica also had a relationship with Dieter Schmitz.
Jessica, her husband, and their four children live in Texas. She also manages a lifestyle website and an Amazon store.
Jason Wahler
Next one on the “Where are they now” list is Laguna Beach’s Jason Wahler. Although their relationship had ups and downs, Jason Wahler first appeared as Jessica Smith’s boyfriend on the show. Before taking a break from showbiz to concentrate on achieving health and sobriety, Jason appeared on The Hills when his run on Laguna Beach ended.
Before that, Jason was a cast member of the fourth season of “Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew,” where they helped him recover from his cocaine and alcohol addiction.
Before his appearance, he had been detained several times, and in 2018, he talked openly about relapsing. Jason Wahler also started Widespread Recovery, a rehab facility that seems to have closed down subsequently.
Trey Phillips
Trey Phillips was close with Stephen Colletti and the other boys but also felt a special connection to Lauren Conrad. Trey has kept a relatively quiet profile since his days on reality TV.
Little is known about his life, except that he’s fulfilled his childhood dream to be a fashion designer after making his Instagram open to the public.
Dieter Schmitz

Dieter Schmitz was one of the only cast members to maintain a committed connection with Jessica Smith during season one. However, the two were unable to keep their relationship into season two. Dieter earned the title “Stephen’s Friend” in seasons one and two.
Nineteen years later, Dieter is now a full-fledged adult. The former TV personality currently resides in Washington, DC, where he works for Lore Group as an area general manager and contributes to hotel design.
Stephen Colletti, Trey Philips, and Loren Polster, three of his former co-stars, served as his groomsmen in his 2016 marriage to Isabell. In addition to anticipating a daughter in 2023, the couple welcomed a son Nico in 2018.
Lo Bosworth
Any youngster who watched Laguna Beach would have considered Lo Bosworth and Lauren Conrad, also known as Lo and LC, the epitome of BFF goals. Lo Bosworth launched Love Wellness in 2016, a business that sells supplements, multivitamins, products for sexual health, and various wellness kits.
Morgan Olsen
Even though she was a little more formal than the rest of Lauren Conrad’s acquaintances, Morgan Olsen belonged to her social circle. Morgan always intended to settle down and start a family, and she did succeed in doing so!
Her boys, Theo and Julian, and her daughter Georgia were born after she married Joel Smith in 2010. In addition, Morgan founded the children’s swimsuit brand Minnow Swimsuit.
Talan Torriero
Torriero was a junior in season one, making him younger than most of the show’s ensemble. However, he often had relationships with older women.
The celebrity has two children, a son named Bronson and a daughter named Hudson, and has been married to Danielle Torriero for some time. In addition to working and digital marketing, he currently creates some amazing TikToks.
Christina Schuller
Christina Schuller also belonged to Lauren Conrad’s circle of friends. However, she and Morgan Olsen got along better than the rest of the group.
Christina was another starry-eyed kid with ambitions to succeed in Los Angeles. As of the writing of this article, she is employed in Laguna Beach as a certified nutritionist and barre instructor. The celebrity is married and a mother, but she keeps her social media private, making it difficult to find out what Christina is doing as of late.
After the reality TV show ended, the Laguna Beach cast reached various life milestones. Most continue their career in the limelight, but many prefer to settle in ordinary life with their families.
