The Umbrella Academy season 2 was when Lila Pitts first appeared as the evil Handler’s adopted daughter. Lila, one of the 43 super-children Sir Reginald Hargreeves created, was fortunate enough to avoid adoption. But Ritu Arya’s character wasn’t a scene stealer when it was introduced in the show’s second season.
The character first appears in episode one when she aids Diego Hargreeves, alias Number Two, in escaping the Holbrooke Asylum. They barely avoided the Swedes and have been running ever since.

Lila is later on presented as Diego’s type of “manic pixie dream girl” love interest because of her carefree, positive, and just a little wacky personality. She helped him locate his family and swiftly joined the Umbrella Academy’s inner circle.
Lila’s unflappability is generally ignored for most of the season until it is revealed that the Handler adopted her after a version of Number Five killed her parents on command.
Ritu Arya’s character wasn’t notable during the airing of the second season. However, many viewers turned their attention to her as the show revealed more details about her past and powers.
Lila was called “a chameleon” in the character synopsis before Season 2’s premiere. It was hazy at first, but it was relatively obvious why by the season finale.
Although Lila Pitts gave off the impression that she possessed all the Hargreeves siblings’ superpowers, she can only mimic superpowers when she is close to the user. Vanya used an energy blast to eliminate the Commission’s assassins, but Lila absorbed the force and directed it back at her.
While it does offer her an advantage over her opponent, it is clear that she can only imitate one power at once, making her susceptible if a group of individuals who also possess powers decide to attack her all at once.
Some fans also noticed how familiar the actress playing Lila Pitts was in The Umbrella Academy Season 2. British Indian actress Ritu Arya is not foreign to sci-fi or superhuman roles.
She had a starring role in the popular AMC series Humans. Between 2016 and 2018, the actress portrayed a Synth named Flash in the program. Ritu Arya also briefly appeared in the cast of the venerable and enlightening famous show Doctor Who in 2020 as Gat, a Time Lord like the Doctor.
Ritu Arya’s character made much progress as the series approached its finale. Lila transformed after first meeting her brothers and sisters in the Umbrella Academy, who ultimately assisted her in escaping The Handler’s web of deceit.
The Umbrella Academy Season 2 closes with Lila Pitts siding with the Hargreeves children instead of her adoptive mother and disappearing into thin air while carrying a Commission briefcase.
