Status Check: Which Season 3 Love Island USA Couples Are Still Together Post-Finale?

As soon as Season 3 wrapped and Love Island USA couples finally left Nīnole, Hawaii, fans eagerly awaited to see which ones would end up still together.

Most of us would agree that some relationships on Love Island aren’t meant to last long after they get slapped with hard, cold reality. After all, they were built inside the glamor and fun of tropical Paradise. Falling in love in that place and winning $100,000 in the process does sound like a good idea.

So, here’s a quick status check to see who survived post-finale.

Was there really love after Love Island?

Was it all just fantasy, or worse, was it all for the plot and keeping the fans reeled in?

Winner: Olivia Kaiser and Korey Gandy

Olivia and Korey stepped out of Love Island USA Season 3 in love and a hundred grand richer. As the skeptics predicted, their relationship didn’t last long after touching the ground with reality.

The couple started their journey in Paradise with a platonic bond. Then things changed when Olivia realized that her feelings toward Korey had turned romantic. They coupled and stayed with each other despite all the circumstances that would’ve broken them apart.

In November 2021, the winning duo finally split. Korey announced the news in a lengthy Instagram post, saying that everything was perfect when they were on the island. He could confidently say it was honestly the happiest moment of his life. Sadly, that wasn’t real life, and when they were hit by it, there were challenges they couldn’t overcome.

Korey concluded the post with a loving message about Olivia. “We went through that experience together, and no one can ever take that away from us. This girl is seriously one of the most beautiful people I’ve ever met, inside and out. I will always respect her and care for her.”

Olivia kept silent throughout the whole thing. However, there was more to the story, and we don’t think they’ll be rekindling the flame ever again.

1st Runner-Up: Kyra Lizama and Will Moncada

Kyra and Will may have finished second on the show but had better luck than Olivia and Korey outside Paradise.

The two didn’t really have any connection when they first met on the island: Kyra paired up with Korey, while Will preferred to keep to himself during the first impressions. However, it didn’t take them long before they picked each other.

Unfortunately, after dating for four months, the two called it quits. Will took to Instagram to share the news. He said that he wanted to take his time to think about how to communicate their situation. Nevertheless, he was grateful for the opportunity to have met Kyra.

Will then finally asked that fans give them privacy and support. On the other hand, Kyra kept it short and simply said she was single again and working on the stages of heartbreak.

Unlike Korey and Olivia, the couple decided to rekindle their relationship. Us confirmed the news in June 2022 after they were spotted together at the launch of Distorted People’s Spring 2022 collection. You can check out their adventures together on Instagram @kywiadventures.

2nd Runner-Up: Bailey Marshall and Jeremy Hershberg

Bailey and Jeremy walked hand-in-hand out of Paradise but ultimately became friends.

Bailey was brought to the island alongside Alana around the show’s third week. On the other hand, Jeremy was a day-one boy and had already been coupled with multiple girls.

When Bailey arrived, she intended to pursue Korey, but he was already all-in with Olivia. So she decided to give Jeremy, who had shown an interest in her, a chance. The two connected and even became the show’s fan-favorite couple. Sadly, their connection only stayed as strong as their proximity to each other.

In August 2021, Bailey broke her silence and confirmed through an Instagram Q&A that they were no longer an item. Jeremy grew distant, and she could tell his feelings had changed. He was honest about it and told her he had feelings for someone.

Bailey felt hurt, but at the end of the day, she couldn’t fault him for his feelings. That and she appreciated his honesty as well.

3rd runner-up: Alana Paolucci and Charlie Lynch

Alana and Charlie’s real-life romance was over before it even began, and they were actually the first couple to break up after Love Island ended.

Before Alana arrived in Paradise, Charlie was pursuing Cashay Proudfoot. Things were complicated for a time as Cashay already had a lover, Cinco, who was completely into her.

Charlie also got entangled with Trina. When Cashay finally moved on from Cinco, Charlie said he had already waited long enough for her and no longer had feelings left.

He dumped her, chose newcomer Alana instead (which shocked fans), and stuck with her until the finale. Then, just a month after the show wrapped, the two already headed separate ways.

According to Page Six, it was Alana who pulled the plug. Charlie had been reportedly clubbing every night with random girls, and he also contacted Cashay and told her he missed her. He even went as far as to say that he regretted his pick.

Though to be fair, that wasn’t really uncharacteristic of Charlie. After all, he did say in an interview in front of Alana that it would be remiss if he didn’t wonder how different things would have been if he had chosen Cashay instead. So it’s safe to say that there’s no coming back for them.

Aimee Flores and Wes Ogsbury

Aimee and Wes got eliminated, hooked up in the real world, then broke up.

Aimee and Wes didn’t have the best luck on the show and were dumped from the villa. However, their strong connection pushed them to keep the spark going as they entered the real world. Everything seemed like a fairytale for a while – posting photos on Instagram and going on cute dates.

However, things became way too quiet at some point, and fans started thinking they were over, and they were. Aimee confirmed the rumors via Twitter, saying they didn’t work out. She was okay with that and was simply thankful for the memories together.

Shannon St. Clair and Josh Goldstein

Shannon and Josh may not have won the grand prize, but they sure won with each other.

If we’re honest, if Josh didn’t have to leave the island, he and Shannon may have won the show. The two coupled up at the premiere, based solely on first impressions. As it turned out, their connection was the real deal, and fans were rooting for them.

Even though they didn’t make it long on the island, they continued to pursue each other. A year into dating, they called it quits. It was a mutual breakup, and they even wrote a joint statement for their fans, stating that they had no bad blood between them.

Four months later, they decided to give love one more chance. They’ve been together and inseparable ever since.

Cashay Proudfoot and Melvin “Cinco” Holland Jr.

Cashay and Cinco didn’t get their happy ending on the island, and they, unfortunately, didn’t get it in the outside world too.

Cashay and Cinco’s stay on the island was a tumultuous one. Despite that, they still gave each other another shot and reconnected after their elimination. They maintained a long-distance relationship for the most part, and everything worked out well until it didn’t. Eventually, the two decided they were better off without each other.

Cashay issued her statement on her Instagram Story and asked fans not to DM her that they were sad because she was, too. She also specifically requested that they refrain from doing any sad edits. Cinco also shared the same message on his own platform.

Trina Njoroge and Andre Brunelli

Despite having a strong connection, Trina and Andre didn’t try to explore a relationship after their elimination.

Trina and Andre called quits on their relationship as soon as they left the island. In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Trina said she was excited to be single again.

She also added that after her experience on the show, she would be picky with the men she’ll allow in her life. However, it looked like she and Andre parted on good terms. She even posted a throwback snap of them in the villa with the caption saying, “It’s always “Good Vibes Only” with this guy ????????.”

Well, that’s a wrap. Two out of the nine Love Island USA couples survived the real world and are still together. The odds of finding your soulmate in a show like that are low, but the thing is, it’s not zero. So, if you’re considering taking your chances, we ask: Why not?
