Despite their break-up, fans of the two can’t deny that Carey and Miguel had quite a blissful relationship at first.
Based on Carey’s autobiography, she stated that Miguel was an authentic, over-the-top Latin lover she never knew she would be able to date.
She went on to explain that after they both had a few drinks during their first date, she found herself having a hard time letting go of that drunk-off man she had spent her night with.
Reports also say that Miguel was generous regarding his presents. Carey even revealed that a day after their first date, the Latin star gifted her a Bulgari necklace that surely cost a whopping number of dollars.
However, that was not even the most extravagant thing Miguel had given her, since during Christmas last 1988, he surprised her with an entire planetarium-style hot tub she could swim into.
By the looks of it, Luis Miguel didn’t hold back with his material display of adoration towards Mariah Carey throughout their relationship. Although they worked out at first, their differences caused them to reach a point where their relationship was no longer working. As sad as it may seem, at least they are now living their best lives, even if they are apart.
