Bare Face Reveal! How TikTok Stars Look without Makeup

Many of us do not know what famous TikTok stars without makeup look like, maybe because most influencers show their natural looks less often.

Celebrities have long worn the craziest attire and most intimidating expressions as they walk the red carpet. Many launched their beauty lines or worked with well-known brands like Maybelline and Revlon. They were an inspiration for both professional and amateur makeup artists.

Of course, it is not different for TikTok influencers. Due to the possibility of securing rich sponsorship deals with cosmetics brands, TikTok stars can make a fortune by wearing makeup in the videos they post on the platform.

For instance, Addison Rae founded her beauty line, ITEM Beauty, using her fame as a driver. According to Forbes, Addison Rae made over $5 million in 2019 alone, thanks to the multiple ways she monetized her TikTok popularity.

Money is not the only reason these TikTok stars always wear makeup. Due to their popularity, most celebrities wear makeup to secure their beautiful image. Many of them are not even unpleasant looking in the first place and possess natural beauty worthy of praise and attention.

There are still instances that TikTok creators reveal their no-makeup faces on social media. The ever-famous TikTok transformation videos, which promote the concept that anyone can instantly go from looking barefaced to beautiful with a hair flip and a smooth transition between video segments, also heavily emphasize going makeup-free.

With that said, let’s look at these TikTok stars’ bare faces.

Charli D’Amelio

Charli D’Amelio used TikTok to execute choreographed dance routines quickly enough for her fans to copy. In 2020, she surpassed all other app creators in terms of followers, but she remained true to herself and her public image. Charli typically wears very little makeup, and sometimes she doesn’t even appear to be wearing any.

Charli revealed that she doesn’t wear makeup most of the time. There was even one time she needed to clarify the rumors that her ‘natural freckles’ were just makeup.

However, through the years of being a TikTok influencer, Charli D’Amelio grew to love makeup and started learning more about it. Due to her improvements, Charli and her older sister Dixie D’Amelio are now the faces of the Morphe 2 cosmetics line. Charli even revealed that when preparing for dancing contests, she used Morphe products and became a huge fan.

Dancing, lip-syncing, and looking stunning while doing both are among Addison Rae’s TikTok skills. The TikTok celebrity is also hard at work developing content and expanding her empire in the beauty industry. For Addison, whose mother is a makeup artist, starting her cosmetics line was a natural fit.

When Addison Rae was dancing competitively, she had to learn to apply makeup. The TikTok artist talked while demonstrating her beauty process in a 2020 Vogue video, calling her colorful stage makeup “super fun.”

Addison Rae first showed her no-makeup face bare, drawing attention to the moles on one of her cheeks. Addison also pointed out that good skincare products are essential for feeling confident going makeup-free. It is why Addison ensures that her company’s ITEM Beauty products also contribute to maintaining healthy skin.

Bella Poarch

The next TikTok star who looks magnificent without makeup is Bella Poarch. The Filipina American, a U.S. Navy veteran, set up an account in April 2020.

By September of the same year, she had the most popular video on the app, a clip of her lip-syncing to Millie B’s song “M to the B.” She became an instant internet sensation due to its success, and firms like Eos sought her out as a partner, giving her the first opportunity to work as a beauty product spokesperson.

Bella Poarch became a prominent figure in the beauty world by developing a specific makeup style to resemble anime characters’ “rosy” red cheeks. Bella added that she was not permitted to wear makeup in school when she was younger.

She eventually developed a cosmetic obsession and couldn’t stand to be seen without it. That said, Bella Poarch’s no-makeup look is still flawless; there is nothing to be ashamed of.

Brooke Monk

With more than 16.5 million supporters as of this writing, Brooke Monk is one of TikTok’s emerging stars. She didn’t spend years attempting to succeed, like many other success stories on the app; instead, it took her less than 24 months to rise to the top ranks of content producers.

Her pleasant, humorous films typically focus on teen issues like relationships, school, cyberbullying, period issues, and sibling conflicts. She occasionally posts beauty-related articles, but sadly, some people have complained about her makeup.

The TikTok celebrity has repeatedly addressed her fans’ criticisms of her makeup. Many pointed out how Brooke Monk’s no-makeup face and the one glammed up look entirely different.

Thankfully, Brooke Monk doesn’t allow her critics to get her down and continues to flaunt her natural beauty. She has even made fun of herself, claiming that she might pass for a 12-year-old without makeup, and she has made fun of men who say they prefer women without makeup.

While the name of the challenge has a bad connotation, Mikayla Nogueira and other beauty experts utilized it to recognize their artistry, and she became famous for participating in it.

She admitted to Vogue in 2021 that she rarely showed the public her face without makeup but going against her comfort zone for a before-and-after “Catfish” video paid off.

When she was ten, the Boston native became interested in makeup for a heartbreaking cause. According to her interview with Vogue, she was made fun of for how she looked and did anything to make herself look more feminine.

Like us, most social media influencers have insecurities they want to hide. Most are also pressured always to show the beautiful side of their life and appearance. But still, these celebrities can somehow accept their flaws and promote their natural beauty.

Through their platform, TikTok creators can promote positivity and acceptance. They use their influence to spread the message that there is nothing wrong with going bare and showing our natural looks.

By looking at these TikTok stars without makeup on, we understand that they are also human like us. They are not perfect, and we should be okay with it, just as they are okay with the lines on their faces or the blemishes that do not fade quickly. Though makeup is an excellent way to enhance how we naturally look, there is no harm in showing our bare faces occasionally.
