Last December 2022, American snowboarder and two-time Olympic gold medalist Chloe Kim strutted down the 20th Unforgettable Gala at the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles, single after her split with her skateboarder boyfriend, Evan Berle. The two started dating back in January 2020.
She said quite some time had passed since they ended their relationship. So, she was a single lady for the holidays, but it was all good. The athlete was excited to spend some uninterrupted quality time this end of the year with family as they all had been busy working and traveling.

Kim had just won her second gold medal in the halfpipe event at the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing earlier in February. It was also a historic win as she was the first woman in history to land back-to-back 1080s.
Character Media sponsored the black-tie event to honor the Asian Pacific Islanders who are industry creatives and leaders. It was hosted by Eugene Cordero and featured actor Daniel Dae Kim and journalist and TV personality Lisa Ling as keynote speakers.
Speaking with PEOPLE about the event, she shared that it was empowering to be part of it and participate in it. She had never gone to an event where she was surrounded by successful and incredible people who looked just like her.

She continued that it was something she struggled with growing up. “No one looked like me, and I felt alone,” Kim said. So she thought it would make little her happy.
The snowboarder who became the youngest woman to win in the halfpipe event at 17 also rallied for more representation. She believed that as part of the progression, the goal was to put more Asian faces out there.
Off the snow and ice, Kim wanted to pursue acting. Being in front of the camera at a young age had made her comfortable with it. She had done music videos and cameos and was looking to get into after her snowboarding career.

Now that Chloe Kim and Evan Berle have split and are no longer an item, we hope she finds someone to celebrate her and celebrate with her in all her wins.
