Love stories start in many different ways. In the case of Rudy Pankow’s girlfriend, Elaine Siemek, her story started on the set of Netflix’s hit teen series, Outer Banks.
Pankow and Siemek’s love story started during the summer of 2019 when they were filming the pilot season of “Outer Banks.”
She was behind the scenes, working as an assistant to showrunner Jonas Pate while Pankow was on-camera, starring as John B’s (Chase Stokes) free-spirited-best-friend-slash-loyal-sidekick JJ Maybank.
In most stories, it’s always the co-actors who fall in love. However, in this story, the intro was different.
There has been no official story about how everything unfolded between the two since the meeting. If there is one thing we know: The couple is still very much in love.
That said, it’s about time for us to meet the lady of the hour.
Who is Elaine Siemek?

Elaine Siemek is quite a private person. She does have social media (an Instagram account) and a website, but nothing else. Here’s what we have managed to know about her.
Last November 2022, she turned 27. In an Instagram post, she thanked her boyfriend for throwing her a birthday party. Siemek wrote in her caption, “I’m so grateful for @rudeth putting this all together with my friends!!!! So f–––––– happy to have so many amazing new and old friends to celebrate this life with.”
Siemek works as part of the behind-the-scenes crew of Outer Banks. Aside from that, she is also a professional film photographer. According to her website, she loves capturing environment portraits. She uses a wide range of equipment like professional SLR and TLR cameras, point-and-shoots, Polaroids, and Super 8s.

The Start of a Love Story

The two have kept their relationship under wraps, but they first met on the set of Outer Banks in 2019. Then they got publicly linked back in November 2020 after Pankow shared a birthday post for Siemek on his Instagram with a simple yet sweet message for her. He penned, “You give me butterflies everyday … literally. Happy Birthday PBM❤️.”
Then, last February 2023, Siemek was in attendance with Pankow in Poguelandia. It was a free fan event filled with music and performances (including Khalid, Lil Baby, alt-J, Elley Duhé, Surf Mesa, and The Nude Party), interactive experiences, and of course, cast surprises. It was held in Huntington Beach, California, to promote the show’s third season.
Siemek had also grown close with the rest of the Outer Banks cast. She posts a lot of set photos and features a lot of actors, including Madelyn Cline (Sarah Cameron), Chase Stokes (John B Routledge), Madison Bailey (Kiara Carrera), and Jonathan Daviss (Pope Heyward).
After season 1 concluded, she uploaded a series of photos of her with the cast. Seimak also shared snaps of their wrap-up celebration for season 3 in 2021, which she captioned, “From the Barbados archives.”
When they’re not on the set of Outer Banks, Pankow and Siemek are traveling.
In September 2022, Siemek posted two snaps of their Italian getaway featuring her and the crystal blue waters of Paraggi Beach, located near Portofino. Both photos were shot by Pankow on film.
A few months before that, they also did some nature adventures. They also celebrated Pankow’s birth month with a night excursion.
In November, they visited Mexico, where they enjoyed Día de Muertos carnivals, Teotihuacan pyramids, the restoration of a Mayan artifact, mezcal, art, music, and of course, food.
Their most recent trip happened last February 2023. The couple traveled to the island of Moorea in French Polynesia, relaxing in Pinterest-perfect waters and hanging out with some stray dogs on the island.
Elaine Siemek and Rudy Pankow also briefly starred in a five-minute short film titled “Virgo,” written and directed by Alyssa Toledo last July 2020. They were featured at the 2:30 mark, and Outer Banks star Drew Starkey (Rafe Cameron) also appeared in the film.
Thriving through challenges

Back in August 2021, fans of the show accused Siemek that she was selling photos of Pankow to fan accounts. It came to a point that she had to defend herself and set the record straight.
She shared an Instagram story clarifying that she had not sold any exclusive photo or video of her boyfriend to any fan account and that she would not do that without his permission.
Seimek also added that she had only sent one birthday video, and Pankow agreed to be a part of it. She concluded her statement by asking the baseless accusations and harassment toward her and her family to stop.
Then in November 2021, Pankow took to Instagram to call out his fans for another targeted harassment toward his girlfriend.
Pankow wrote that while he is thankful for all the love and support that he gets from his fans, he had to talk about the disrespect and harassment that Siemek had been receiving on a daily basis.
According to the actor, Siemek had been accused of being abusive and manipulative by people who don’t know the relationship personally. He said that these were all lies and had gotten to a degree that was beyond normal hate. “Not only is she not what she is being accused of being, she is the complete opposite and actively is so,” he said.
Sadly, the fans never seemed to stop with all the accusations.
In November 2022, they accused Siemek of cheating on Pankow. She simply responded with a photo of her and her boyfriend holding up their middle fingers, a red heart emoji, and a caption saying they flew from Barbados to Italy when that ‘cheating’ supposedly happened.
It looks like Rudy Pankow’s girlfriend, Elaine Siemek, is definitely not backing off any attempts to ruin herself or her relationship with the actor. It’s safe to say that Pankow got himself a keeper.
