From Girlfriend To Wife: Chris D’Elia Marries Kristin Taylor

Comedian Chris D’Elia and animator Kristin Taylor are officially husband and wife.

The couple said their “I Do’s” last June 18, 2022, at the Hotel Californian in Santa Barbara, California. Taylor posted photos of their big day on Instagram, writing, “6.18.22. D’Elia’s forever 🤍.” She also thanked all the individuals for creating the wedding of their California dreams. A day later, D’Elia followed suit and shared a slideshow of their wedding snaps with a short but sweet caption, saying, “Stronger now. 🛗.”

The couple’s then-two-year-old son, Cal, also took some spotlight for himself as he helped his mom and dad cut their cake at their reception. Cooper, the couple’s dog, was also present at the ceremony dressed in a cute dog tuxedo.

D’Elia and Taylor made their relationship Instagram official back in 2018 and then got engaged a year later.

Sadly, their happy celebration has been shadowed by allegations of sexual misconduct against D’Elia. In June 2020, several women accused him of preying on underage girls online.

Among those women were Simone Rossi and Abby Grills, who bravely stepped forward to share their stories. Grills even backed hers up with screenshots of their Facebook conversations in 2011, which she posted on Twitter. She was just 17 at the time.

In light of the allegations, the Los Angeles Times published an expose of the comedian’s behavior.

Speaking with TMZ, D’Elia denied everything. He admitted that he had said and done many things that might have offended people in his career. However, one thing he didn’t do was to pursue any underage women at any point knowingly. He said, “I was a dumb guy who ABSOLUTELY let myself get caught up in my lifestyle. That’s MY fault. I own it.”

He then continued saying that he had been reflecting on what had happened for some time. And he promised that he would continue to do better.

The allegations, while remaining allegations, had cost him a Netflix show and his agency.

Unfortunately, that wasn’t the end of things. In the following months, more women came forward. One of them was actress Megan Drust, who said that the stand-up comic exposed himself to her in 2011. Another one, who chose to be anonymous, filed a lawsuit claiming that he solicited porn from her when she was only 17.

D’Elia once again addressed all the issues surrounding him in February 2021 through a YouTube video. He said that he understood that it was all about sex.

He also admitted that he had been unfaithful before – including with his then-girlfriend Taylor. He even went on to justify it by saying that Taylor was the girl of his dreams and not even she could stop him from doing what he was doing.

D’Elia was doing the work because he felt bad and shameful that he wasn’t the guy he wanted to be. He also stood by his statement before that all of his past relationships were legal and consensual. Throughout everything, Chris D’Elia’s wife stayed by his side.
