Lookalike Cam Catches Usher And Ja Morant’s Dad’s Courtside Twinning Moment

When the R&B singer Usher attended Game 5 of the 2022 playoff series between the Memphis Grizzlies and Minnesota Timberwolves, many fans confused him as Ja Morant’s dad, Tee Morant. Not only did they have an uncanny resemblance, but they also had a twinning outfit – a black shirt, chain necklace, and sunglasses.

Usher and Tee sat beside each other on the courtside. During a timeout, they had a moment in the arena that got everyone laughing and cheering.

For the lookalike cam segment, the jumbotron showed a photo of Usher and then revealed Tee sitting in the stands. Then, the camera panned to Usher in the flesh, sitting right there with Tee.

As the pair was both featured on-screen, they started laughing, with Tee pointing at the singer. Of course, the fans were also very much amused with the whole moment, and they cheered.

Usher’s attendance came after Tee’s photo during the Grizzlies’ home game went viral earlier that month, and he was compared to the singer. A fan even tweeted the same photo and wrote that they thought Morant’s dad was Usher.

It was reposted over four thousand times and liked 75,000 times, which definitely showed that many were just as confused as them.

One fan even responded that they were glad they weren’t the only one. Another also wrote that they had been thinking it was Usher for a good hour.

The level of hype that it reached had Usher checking it out for himself, which he shared in a later tweet. After their meeting, Tee reposted their moment and called the singer his “twin.”

Tee Morant’s son, Ja, also had a big night like his dad, as the Grizzlies won against the Timberwolves with a score of 111-109. Ja also made great strides individually by being named the NBA’s most-improved player for the season.

He contributed a total of 30 points and even made a dunk at the end of the third quarter, then 13 rebounds and nine assists. He also did three steals to wrap up his stats for the game.

Usher and Ja Morant’s dad definitely made that night even more memorable for everyone who attended the game. That would forever be stamped as one of the most iconic moments of the NBA.
